What kind of turnaround are you expecting? I know there are numerous printers in Canada, Quebecor being one of them. It must have been significantly cheaper to go overseas like that. Are you going hardbound or soft? This is an amazing thing to see one of our own published like this. Very, very happy for you Brian. -

Not to over hype it but it's gonna be awesome. I luv it when a MM member/founder makes good.Leave a comment:

Excellent news Brian. You did it! Now we all to wait in unbridled anticipation.
Oh, and I'd rather play Operation.

So Rack Toys is now at the printer's, after a weekend of working on it (including spending almost 3 hours on the phone with my Editor Rob Chatlin yesterday) I was able to upload the book to my overseas contact.
Updates will come via the Rack Toys Facebook Page. In the meantime, I need to find something to do while I wait.
Anybody wanna play Hungry, Hungry Hippos?Leave a comment:

My mom was never really one for giving in to the begging for rack toys. Heck, she wouldn't even give me nickels for the gum machine prizes. But on a couple of occasions I was able to con her into getting:
1) A Ping Pong ball blaster: You know the one I mean. Mine was blue and could load 4 ping pong balls. When it was empty, it kinda looked like a ray gun.
2) A different kind of Ping Pong gun; this one was green and 2 sided. Each side a little man w/ a long arm holding a paddle, and a trigger. The trigger worked the arm holding the paddle. In the middle was a plastic loop that held a small ping pong ball attached to a plastic stick. So basically, it was a portable ping pong game. For a cheap rack toy, this thing was actually loads of fun. Good for car trips and such. I've never been able to find it since. I got it in '77 or '78, when being dragged along w/ my folks running errands. Anyone ever have this?Leave a comment:

Hey, I have a couple of those thingies.
I've always wondered what exactly they were, I've had them since I was a kid.
Thank you for solving that mystery!Leave a comment:

Wow, looking through the Imperial Toys catalogue on P.S. I realise that I have some of those toys stashed away.
I'm really excited by this whole rack toys thing and very much looking forward to your book.
I'll send you some more photos, too, Brian.Leave a comment:
