      Ah.. Yes.. Um.. WOW..

I had my original for a while, but haven't felt like spending another $300 for a loose set..

This one'll be a nice replacement.. At least it looks fairly retro as well, not some new 'movie' look or something.

Wondering what Cap, Thor, and Iron Man'll look like..????

So will 3rd time be the charm for CA? Right off the bat looks like they're off to a better start than Playing Mantis was with more recognizable licenses. And the packaging is more modern so maybe that'll appeal to the younger set instead of just old school collectors. The accessories seem to be less in the Spidey set but more sensible than what Ideal gave us in some cases.

If Captain Action can't make it work with the Marvel characters, it can't make it at all.

Too bad it's the 12 inch version. Imagine those costumes for the 8 inch Cap!

I really like the packaging here. The designers did a good job of updating the Captain Action packaging to modern times.

I especially like that the Spider-Man package seems to have NEW artwork, specific to this release, and not just style guide art. That has to be a first!

The webbing under the arms on the Spidey suit puts it over the top IMO.

                    oh yeah!

This is super fun. New 8" dc figs; New Cappy; bring on some 12" AT and my smile will wrap all the way around my head.

                      Fantastic!

Ol' Cap sure looks a lot like Glenn Ford now dont he?

New body has to be superior to the old stiff original design, looks like removeable hands for gloves and such, thats a step up. The head looks like it might be swappable too versus a mask over Caps noggin, but its hard to say for sure just looking at the pictures?

That Spidey suit is the best I've ever seen! Wish the boots were part of the suit, but this way it is more in keeping with the original toy line. I notice no manufacturers emblem. I had heard the CA Enterprises guys developed these with hopes of licensing them out to a larger manufacturer? Not sure if this is correct or not, but since I dont see Hasbro plastered on the box, I'm guessing that they didnt bite...anybody know for sure if the CA Ent. guys are going it alone?

I'm sure it will be popular with collectors, but with kids, I think it's been pointed out before that the original concept was flawed in terms of play value other than the novelty of the dress-up aspect.

I dig the good Captain as much as everyone else here, and I want it to succeed; but just thinking about how I played with my Megos and my observation on how most kids play with action figures, the fact is that you'd want Spiderman to interact with Captain America, Thor and Iron Man. Otherwise it's a bit of a Polk-a-roo scenario...

I said that exact thing! This is the one to go with...

Oh and alas no Cast-a-Way is not involved... but nonetheless excited for our friends at CA Ent.

Woo-hoo! This is great! I already have a Green Hornet CA from Playing Mantis, and I never wanted to buy a whole new figure for the outfits either. Now at last, I can buy the costumes! YAY!

*Edit to add: Upon further inspection of the new Cap figure, he does have a nice head sculpt, and it looks like you have to own this one to have the switchable Spidey hands. Oh well. I'm already getting the CAW version too, I don't need 3 Caps! My PM 12" will have to do.

12 inch has never been successful. Nice to see the Marvel people at least giving the option a chance.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.
