no doubt. Just the first 12 (with the Fett/DSC swap) would be a good set of shelves. If they actually repro'd the entire 92 cardback!!!!??! wow. You would need a whole room for them. Imagine if the card was scaled as well. It would be almost 3' tall!

I see some folks getting into these momentarily and then noting the display space (or lack thereof) and the hit on the pocketbook and either getting some key figs, or backing out entirely. The sdcc 'trooper was $75?? and sales for this on ebay are around twice that now? For a buck fifty, I would rather get a nice loose set of originals - probably up to the first 21 figures.

I do think these are pretty cool, but the neato factor doesn't outweigh the cost and display room issues for me.

If I were to get just one of them to represent the entire line, I think it would be the farmboy Luke. Gawky round headsculpt, square-cut legs, and saber stub sticking out of his elbow.

I posted this up in the Modern Toys section.

According to GG on FB, they informed me that only the Stormtrooper will be available at CC and no plans to reissue. Also, Fett will ONLY be available at Celebration V. However, if you join the club, you can pre-order them. Not much time left. CV is around the corner.

I DEFINITELY want Fett and the Cantina creatures.

I find it odd that if I were to (wisely) limit my purchases to just a few, that I'd prefer GREEDO and a STORMTROOPER over a VADER.

That is "THE" figure of the line... no doubt the "must have" of THIS line for
me, if I were to just get ONE.

If I were a Star Wars collector, I'd probably like these. I've never been a fan of small action figures.

But man, I could see Chewie going up against my Bionic Bigfoot!

The vintage Kenner large Chewbacca would be a better choice imo. They are built very similarly and have some rotation at the shoulders. They could have great hugging contests.

man I don't know ... I love vintage star wars figures. They're what started me in toy collecting.

at first when I saw these posted I was thinking way cool!!! But then after thinking more about them they seem too gimmicky. Kenner made large figures, Hasbro has made large figures ... and if someone loves the vintage star wars figures they could sure buy a heck of a lot of real deal ones for the price of one of these guys. Guess I'm just not sold ... might chage my mind if I see one in person, but part of the fun of the vintage figures were their size

now on a side note, I love the idea of Hasbro putting out the vintage style rocket firing 3 3/4 as a mail away for nostalgia.

I want ALL of these BAD, I think they are by far the coolest new line, but collecting them all will depend on their cost and how often they come out. One thing is for sure though, the Greedo, Hammerhead and Walrus Man will be mine no matter what.

Just saw a video of someone holding one. WOW. These rocks. The Stormtrooper is awesome. Not many left. Less than a handful. Get it while you can right now.

These were frighteningly cool. I haven't wanted a Star Wars thing this much since I was 8. I really struggled but didn't take a Stormtrooper home....but the Darth Vader with the vinyl cape will have to come live at my house.

Talk about a financial and spacial commitment. On the card these things are huge.

It's a weird feeling to know you are going to buy something and there is not a damned thing you can do about it.

I've decided I'm going to just get Fett, Walrusman, Hammerhead, Greedo, Jawa, Tusken Raider and Vader. On the fence with Stormtrooper. Not too keen on the others. Since I only played with these the most growing up.
I just love how they look with the card. MEGA SIZE figures!!!

I really like them. I'd probably get them if they weren't exclusives and so expensive. As cool as the are $85 seems still seems like an awful lot to me for upscaled SW figures. I'm still wishing somebody would reissue them in their original 3 3/4 inch scale.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I mean, even the Leia was awesome. It was like running into someone you dated a long time ago and forgot how cute she was. If they'd had her cape on I might have actually squealed out loud.

These figures are cool enough and all, but being that they're new (though based on old), this thread should have been in the modern toys section, shouldn't have it?
