Classic Atari games at Taco Bell

Taco Bell has four classic Atari games (Super Breakout, Lunar lander, Centipede and Asteroids) with retro art packaging in their kids meals. They work on both PC and Mac. Picked up a set today. They don't even make you buy the food which is lucky for me because I can't eat carry out food. Haven't had a chance to try them out yet. They include classic and remixed modes and three difficultly levels. Pretty sweet.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I've tried the Centipede first because it has always been one of my favorites. They don't play full screen but they are really well done. The classic version has a retro arcade art border. The classic version is a port of the arcade Centipede and the evolved version is like the XBOX live arcade one. It's controlled with the arrow keys and the space bar which actually works pretty well.

      Way cool for a buck.

Crap our Taco Bell is mixed in with our KFC, and we never get the promos.

Sounds fun but.... My son had gotten one of those software promos from a Wendy's and the blasted thing crashed my PC. Broke his heart. But if it works its an awsome promo.

Sounds very cool, thanks for the heads up! Hopefully the Taco Bell near me has this, but it's also a Pizza Hut Express, so who knows... A few miles away was a much older store, just a Taco Bell franchise, with the old style building, but it closed almost 2 years ago. Still vacant.

                      Neat!

There was an Atari disk that came with cereal a few years back, but these games didn't have all the different versions. (They were straight arcade/console ports.)

These are done in Flash, there shouldn't be any crashing.

These are the arcade games, not 2600 games. So unless you have the full arcade coin-ops at your place, you don't have them.

That's OK...I have 180 2600 games, so I'm happy, even if they're not the arcade games.

Actually, on both of them you can use the trak-pad area as well on the bottom of the screen. It's a trak ball simulator. There's a little learning curve with it, but you can actually learn to recreate all the spin motions of the arcade version with it by placing the mouse in the pad and sliding it out of the pad at different rates.
