I think instead of the 1989 movie Batmobile, I would have chose the Batman Returns one because it had a roof and also because it split into the Bat-missile. (though not a fan of the missile it was still kinda cool that they made it look just like the movie).
The previously mentioned Azrak Hamway company was known mostly for creating fun, inexpensive items you'd demand at the drug store while your mother was picking up some of her "little helpers."
This line had me rolling on the floor. I love the humour of these lists.

Heh, I took that from real life, about a decade ago a good friend of mine found out his mom was high as a kite for the majority of his childhood. He said she was really fun.

The pedal car is cool, but you can't beat a kid being able to put on his costume and patrol the neighborhood via sweet electric:
As someone who owns both (well the electric one belongs to the boy), let me tell you, the pedal one is more reliable. There is a reason the electric one was on clearance at TRU. It lasted about 5 months and then quit. The company sent me a repair kit, and it still didn't work. It was cool while it lasted though.
Great list Brian! I am ashamed to admit I never had the large Corgi Batmobile, and still don't. It's a huge hole in my collection, but the nostalgia just isn't there. I need to get one though.
I'd put Kenner's first Burton/Keaton Batmobile (or the Batmissle one) over the Toy Biz one, but you're right, it's the best piece of that line (the Batwing is pretty nice too).
The Super Powers Batmobile is my personal all time favorite for action figures. It's pretty close to the 78-80s comics/Super Friends design, and the features work and make sense. Batman isn't too much on shooting missiles in the comics folks.
Another fun one is the latest Super Friends Imaginext version, the two-seater one. Turn the neatly concealed "key" (it looks like a scalloped Bat-fin) and then thing revs up and then takes off. The fun of it bridges the gap between my 8-year old boy and 2-year old daughter. What more can you ask?

My son has most of the Super Friends Imaginext line, but we haven't picked up the 2 seater Batmobile yet. Sounds like a must have.
From Brian's list and the subsequent discussion, I think it can be concluded that you can never have enough Batmobiles.
Question: Are you guys counting that push back version by Marx as the pedal car? I like that one.
