Otherwise I think you have a great list!
I never understood why it ejected it's own engine as a action feature. And I had to take it apart and cut out room to fit the Micheal Keaton Bruce Wayne Batman in it. Not enough Bat-ear room.

Great list Brian. I have some of those vintage ones and will never own some of the others because they're too new for my taste. I would love to own that pedal car.
I also have lots of Batmobile knock-offs from Mexico and Argentina, those are cool too.

Question: Are you guys counting that push back version by Marx as the pedal car? I like that one.
No, the car Brian listed was made by Empire in the 70s. Here's mine, it's missing the bubble windshields. I had one as a kid too!

The reason I wanted the Toy Biz movie Batmobile over the Kenner was that Toy Biz was a two-seater.

I agree, probably the Movie Batmobile and Batwing are the only Toy Biz Batman toys worth having. I wonder, if these two toys had stunk as bad as the action figures they produced, would Kenner have complained at all?

Man, I got two really angry comments there, one accusing me of doing absolutely no research and not putting any love into it. I think the last 20 years I've been doing nothing but research out of love, it's weird how personal some people take these.

[QUOTE=Earth 2 Chris;460534]As someone who owns both (well the electric one belongs to the boy), let me tell you, the pedal one is more reliable. There is a reason the electric one was on clearance at TRU. It lasted about 5 months and then quit. The company sent me a repair kit, and it still didn't work. It was cool while it lasted though.

I got mine for free for this very reason. There's a wonky circuit board in the wiring that kills most of them. I rewired ours so that it has basic forward and reverse, and it's fine now. I'd love to have one of the Empire ones, but I've never had the opportunity to get one local and shipping is prohibitive. If you still have your electric one, there are diagrams online for the rewire.

Cool Azrak, thanks! My son is too big for it now, but my daughter could get some use out of it. I'll have to go digging for those.

If they can't see the toy love in your posts, they are beyond help. I'm a hardcore Batguy, and I thought it was great list. Everyone's going to have a different take, but yours was as valid as anyone's. So screw 'em!

Waitaminit there, Brian. Are you saying that a Toy Collecting, Batman fan making a post on the Internet was showing signs of keyboard rage? Outrageous!

Plus, if you got the very first Toy Biz version, you got a bonus "cocoon" to cover it with (flimsy and fragile, but still...)

Good solid list, but I can't believe that I've never owned the Corgi Batmobile.

Too bad that the My First Batmobile couldn't make the list, my son got one for Christmas and really likes it. I'll have to look into the Imaginext one too (he got the Batcave and the little mini Batmobile but not the full sized one).

I think that's a pretty good Batmobile list.

I'm angry at anybody who got the pedal car twoseater batmobile as a kid. Me and my best friend mikey used to sit and dream over that picture and think of teh day we would rule the sidewalks.

Sadly if I show up at my 20th High School reunion riding one bragging about the "ultimate treehouse" I finally built I just don't think I would be seen as the winner I hoped to be.

Great list Brian, good job on the article. There are so many cool Batmobile Toys that it must have been pretty hard narrowing it down, ha!

I'd think the ASC (and other Mfgs) Tin 66 Bump and Go Batmobile would fit in there somewhere too. It was released from 66-72(I think), in Red, Two different blue versons, and Black.
