They are both cool. But I gotta say, nothing beats the fuzz head and the Kung Fu grip-classic!

Fuzz head. They are more realistic.Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009

Grew up with the fuzz heads, but I collected the painted heads now.You must try to generate happiness within yourself. If you aren't happy in one place, chances are you won't be happy anyplace. -Ernie BanksComment

I prefer the fuzzhead Adventure Team Joes. I'm a 70s baby and those are from my era. I do have quite a few of the newer ones from Hall of Fame, and Classic Collection, and some knockoffs like RDF figures from the early 90s w/ painted heads. But I have more originals and repros of the fuzzheads.
All I had were 3 fuzz head as a kid, just prior to going Mego, but once I started collecting all the Joe stuff in the early 90s, I went more for the painted heads and their detailed outfits.. Like the first astronaut outfits, fighter pilot, etc..
Adventurers...? YES, I loved 'em, but production of cool items slid a bit during their tenure, compared to the 60s stuff, obviously due to the declining sales and production costs. The cool exceptions were the Mobile Support Vehicle, ATV and Helicopter..
So I basically like both types for different reasons. Luckily they all get along on my shelf at home.
