My kids are newly into Star Wars (mostly because of Lego). We took 'em to a toy show a few weeks ago and found a Ben Cooper C3PO costume from The Empire Strikes Back era. Fits my son perfectly; it's gonna be a retro Halloween this year...and cost only $20.

I had the bugs bunny, Popeye, and the green Spider mask (which I actually used as Spider-Man until a year or two later when I got the licensed version). It's all good!Comment

I worked in Collegeville for many years and used to drive by the old factory all the time. I saw the sign but had no idea that was where all my favorite childhood costumes were made!
A few years ago I was at a local flea market about 15 minutes from Collegeville and these two 20 something guys had rented a table for the day (they weren't regulars) and they had the whole table piled with old collegeville costumes they found in storage. A lot of them were beat and had water damage, etc. but it was cool seeing them all together like that again.
As you would expect there were no cool ones. I think I saw "three little pigs", "cinderella", and a creepy clown costume. I bought the creepy clown costume because it was the OLDEST looking Collegeville costume I'd ever seen based on the packaging. I have it around here somewhere. I paid $3 I think."God has put definite limits on the heights of man's wisdom, but no limits to the depths of his stupidity"Comment
