I Had Him as a Kid,.. my Favorite Joe ever .
I recently a few yrs back,,.. I think 04-ish,.. picked up a Loose complete with File Card one. He was perfect, & the Joints very, very tight. I think I paid like 65 for him shipped or something.

The Ann. 25th figure is also a very nice piece to own,.. it's really affordable, & looks so much like the vintage figure, & even has his same File Card photo.

it's funny how a character that hardly came out in the cartoons made such a big impact with the kids, he just looked so bad *** that everyone wanted him

Snake-Eyes was pretty prolific in the comics back then, and a lot of kids I knew read the GI Joe comics. The TV advertising for them worked. I think he's essential bad-aresery came from the comics more than the toon.

I remember buying my first three Joes. I bought Scarlett, Torpedo, and a Cobra Soldier. I thought it was weird that Scarlett and the Cobra Soldier didn't have swivel arms like Torpedo did, but I was okay with it. I saw the original Snake Eyes there and passed on him. I did however become a Joe fan, and when the newer Snake Eyes came out, I bought him without delay. I thought it was awesome that he came with Timber, plus all his weapons. It was that package that lead me to Storm Shadow, and as a kid who wanted to be a ninja more than anything else in the world, I hunted Storm Shadow down months later and bought him and Spirit. What great years those GI Joe years were.

Congratulations on your score. That Snake Eyes is still an awesome figure. I hope you get the accessories you need.

                          Torpedo is a DUDE??

Seriously though, you're right. Now that I think about it, the grey on black in the chest area did make him seem in need of a bra.

It's definitely a great figure. I could never find him as a kid , and the one I have now I did not get until I was 22. so I know special it is to finally get an '85 Snake Eyes. Congrats !

Nice find! I still need a sword for mine. I've got everything else (no extras, though...sorry!)

One of the great memories and joys of my childhood, was going to Toy's r Us and finding boxes of new GI Joe figures all laid out ready to be stocked. That's how I got my Snake Eyes V2 in 1985. That new wave had just come out, and my mom would pick me up from school and we would visit like once a week. One time, the timing was perfect, and I got to go through the brand new boxes and pick out a bunch of the new figures. Man, I mean....that's fun to do NOW, but when you're a kid, it's just the best day ever!!

                                Go to http://www.yojoe.com

They'll hook you up in the forums. I'm "The Enemy" over there. I got back into collecting this year. I have most of my original toys from 82-88, and have been working on finishing that stuff up with what I'm missing, plus I bought a few 25th figures and now the new movie figures (just a few of them). I've made tons of great trades over there for parts and things i need. Some very helpful fellow collectors there, so check it out!
