    Goodbye to an icon

I can't not mention the unfortunate passing of Farah Fawcett on this blog, if the seventies have a representative, Farrah would likely be the supreme candidate.

She was a Charles Angel, a runner, she was married to the Bionic Man, Girls wanted to be her and her hair style rocked a nation, guys being guys bought her poster at an alarming rate.

70s kids and Gen Xers, we've lost our Marylin Monroe....

Well said, Brick. I forgot what a big deal it was to me that she was married to Lee Majors.

Man, they got old and we aren't far behind 'em. I feel old today.

Yes, I feel old today... They say bad news comes in three's and it certainly did - Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and Michael Jackson. It's just about unreal. All icons lost that close together has got to be a first. Our planet feels a little more cold tonight. I hope their all in peace.

She seemed to have gotten herself on the tracks in the last year or two, and it was great seeing her looking and acting good.

I always had the plan to pick up one of those Farrah Megos one of these days. My sister had her when we were kids and I always remembered her.
I just couldn't bring myself to buy a "girl's doll" and wasn't actively pursuing it. Of course the headlines of her recent battle with cancer brought the idea back to my thoughts but by then all the vultures had jacked the prices up and I didn't want one that bad. Now that she's gone they have started asking ridiculous prices for that doll.
Doesn't really matter. I have my memories of my sister's Farrah and all my childhood real Farrah memories plus that famous poster!

Love you, Farrah. Hope you feel better now!

It's a shame all of the media's focus is on Michael Jackson and not her.

Although I don't think the coverage would have been as much (as the MJ coverage) I was looking forward to coming home and watching some retrospectives/news about Farrah but the MJ event just threw her death totally off the front page.
Very sad she got overshadowed on the day we should be remembering her. It won't come again.

Keep an eye on later I Dream of Jeannie episodes. I saw her a few weeks back playing Major Healy's girlfriend.
