That Superman hugging Godzilla picture is too funny. "Don't leave me, I'll change I promise." :D

Well, it's one of those days where your teacher is too hung over to do anything so he just wheels in the projector. In my case, I'm sick but it works just as well. I thought it would be fine time to showcase these commercials from our DVD showcasing a character near and dear to my inner eight year old, Godzilla! For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.comhttps://blogger.googleusercontent.co...s.blogspot.com

I'm still hopelessly devoted to finding the HG Toys "Godzilla vs Tricephalon" play set for myself someday. Anybody got one for sale, I guess it would help if I checked Ebay for one.
Lastly, another classic, the Ben Cooper Godzilla Halloween costume, another thing that made you jealous when you saw kids wearing it on October 31st..

Have a great weekend people, I'm off to stomp a city!

the real find would be getting a hold of that knights vs dragons playset (not sure of name) that was out around the same time as this set, because the dragon that came with it was a red version of Tricephalon. Saw this only once in my lifetime at the no longer existing Alexanders dept store in New York (long island)"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"

Speaking of vintage Godzilla toys, here's a recent eBay purchase that landed yesterday:
You can see a larger pic here:
This is the 1980 Ben Cooper Godzilla jiggler. The toy was originally released in 1974 as a generic dinosaur, then reissued in 1980 with a Godzilla tag. I never had the Godzilla version before, but I did own the basic dinosaur version as a kid. I suppose that if you squint real hard and use your imagination, he *kinda* looks like the Big G

the 1974 version had a horn on the top of his head that they removed when they released him as Godzilla
I actually found mine in 1985. When Godzilla 1985 came out, I went into a woolworth's and they had a box of the Ben Cooper zilla's (all with tags). Then again they could have just been sitting on the shelf that long or they found them inside the stockroom, who knows, but still a cool toy"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"
