Since the Talking Commander was the first 'new' figure since my Captain Action days (and I finally realised that I was no longer going to find those elusive C/A Spiderman or Captain America boxsets by 1972..), he became the coolest toy to me.

Expecting if I was to get a new action figure, it would have been a painted hair like I saw other kids had in their room.. All of a sudden, I'm surprised with this figure that I JUST started seeing commercials for. ..wow..

Just a few years back, I spent a hundred for this vintage C-9+ Talking Commander box with repo insert for him to once again rest in. Folks, it's a thing of beauty.

With his talk box cleaned and hair touched up, he's home again.
