I've always had a lack of focus in my collecting, which is why it's hard for me to complete a particular line, I just bounce around to whatever catches my fancy. But generally, I collect 1970's to early 80's, mostly figures in the 8-12" range, and the subject matter is usually superhero/sci-fi/movie/TV related. I buy almost exclusively vintage stuff now, but my collection does have some modern stuff, mostly Japanese robots, Godzilla and some Sideshow figures.

I used to have focus, tons of it along with will power but after I renovated I got this weird urge to turn my place into a 70s toy explosion and now I've got Maskatrons and G.I. Joes and Cylons.
I think I need an intervention.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

My main focus is Batman, "ANYTHING I don't have" is the rule. But I have been thinking about just focusing on the true vintage items. Say 1966 to 1986, that period. I would also like to get some bat-sketches from famous comic book artists. That would be cool.
I also collect Lunch Boxes, Cereal Items, PEZ Candy Dispensers...but not as seriously as Batman.CHECK OUT THE NEW BAT-BLOG!

I'm pretty much focused on Mego and Kenner Star Wars. It's kind of loose because I buy things on "as I can" basis. When the modern Star Wars stuff started coming out in '95 I bought a few things but ended up giving most of it away. I'll pick up something modern if I think it's excetionally cool for some reason but mostly stick with the old stuff. Most of my "modern toys" I ended up giving away with no regrets. I don't have the room anyway!Comment

Spidey stuff, 1960's - 1980's. Used to buy anything and everything, but now am primarily focused on figures and rack toys.Looking for MOC Pocket Super Heroes...

I was going to focus only on apes...but that was before I realized you could easily convert the humans to apes. I want to fill the arena in Ape City with all my apes. That's my focus if only I could find the time. Those who look outside dream. Those who look within awake.
Samples of my work are found here: Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness
To do list:
1:6 boots for Mathilda, 1:1 Romulan Commander outfit, Ursus helmet; Cornelius appliance
1:9 scale ape's new suit for Cornelius;Comment

My focus right now, and likely for good, is Megos as well as customs in 1/9 scale.
Prior to that, it was pre-Legends Marvel Toy Biz figures, as well as some DC character customs in that scale (5"), but I was never able to get as wide a group of characters together like I do with Megos.
As always, anything Spider-Man related will definitely warrant a look, but I'm getting more and more picky in my old age. I have plenty of Spidey figures (most recent being a Spidey and Goblin from the new Marvel Universe line), so I'm pretty much done with those. Now, I'm eyeing vintage Spidey stuff."It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment

The four groups I enjoy the most are my 60's GIJoes, Mego Apes, Mego Trek and monster figures (Mego, AHI, Remco and whatever strikes my fancy). I have others such as a few superheroes but that's mainly my figures. I have aquired an odd collection of other toys and related. The shelves have a lot of neat things such as a boxed set of original Jarts, The first package of Mr Potato Head (when you provided your own potato), a funny face Goofy Grape pillow, Lava lights, Major Matt Mason figs, UFO toys and lunchbox, various robots, Dinky toys and lots more,JOHN

My focus has shifted a few times over the years but the central theme has always been 60's and 70's toys (or those which capture the "spirit" or "feel" of toys back then, even if they were made later).
Naturally, these would include Megos (and mego-likes such as Famous covers and DC 9").
Since I am perhaps a little older than some of you (I turn 50 in July), my roots are in the 12" scale as well, so Captain Action and Adventure Team GI Joe are also on my list as well as the 12" Star Trek figures from a few years ago (and the 12" Original Galactica figures as well).
Although they do NOT fit my usual criteria I have become a fan of several newer lines such as minimates (superheroes and Trek), the Masters of the Universe Classics limited edition line (from mattycollector.com), and the DC Universe 6" line sculpted by the 4 horsemen (since they evoke a very Silver Age kind of look).
I also grew up with the Major Matt Mason line so I am fond of them (though I wish they had been done mego-like rather than bendy (I want to hold a funeral service when I see a Bendy Matt Mason that has nearly amputated arms or legs).
I can't explain the Minimates though... since most of my collecting tastes, both Sci-fi and superhero are decidedly retro...Comment
