If my sister had had that, it would have been overrun by the World's Greatest Super Heroes! Ludicrously big?!?!?!? Try ludicrously awesome! The Big Jim version is even more cool. I never got into Big Jim as a kid, but I never saw all the cool accessories.

I had a friend up the street who had a Barbie Townhouse like that. Her twin brother and I used to take our Megos and play in it. Little did I know at the time Mego HAD made a toy like this.
American Girl did an in-scale repro of one of the older Barbie hair-styling heads a few years back. My wife has one. These things are a bit creepy. I used to think my sister's was watching me!
Happy birthday to your girl B!

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

When I was a kid I was an only child and spent alot of time playing Barbie with my two cousins who were girls. Initially I played with Ken and then thankfully around age five I started to incorporate my Gene Simmons doll, haha. Anyhow, that Barbie townhouse was my favorite toy of theirs to play with. I always wanted to use it for my Megos but they wouldn't let me. In fact when I later saw the Wayne Foundation I was pretty excited to realise there was a "townhouse" made specifically for Megos! Unfortunately I never got my hands on either the townhouse nor the Foundation.
I don't collect anything Barbie, but those 1970s Barbie toys are pretty awesome, loads of playtime value there.Comment
