After we went to the toy show on Sunday, I dragged my childhood Darth Vader case to my son's room for an all out space battle. My son hasn't paid much attention to the movies, he's more into the video games so he doesn't quite get it, plus he likes Jar Jar Binks but he's six so I'll let that go.
During the course of play, he started using Boba Fett, so I dug through the case and found mine. His reaction to that was "Your Boba Fett isn't very good Daddy"
It was kind of funny, his articulated, well detailed Fett is indeed full of win but I sent in a bunch of proofs of purchase for mine and I've never gotten over how cool he is. Yet to a child, it's a lame figure, no accounting for taste.....

Ah, what does he know, he likes Jar Jar.
They can have all the ultra detailed, removable helmet, tv show themed figures and leave you to your memories. Perhaps a little later on they will grasp your attachment to parts of your childhood as they begin to have some history and memories of their own. Fortunately for them, some of those will be playing space battles with their pop and digging around at toy shows for more cool things.
