Funny story, I just got these in today and this guy cannot measure. I wanted the Lone Ranger & Tonto in 8" Mego style in stead I get in 12" figures. Since he is just a reseller of antiques I do not think I will get my money back. I guess I will have to try and resale them if I do not here back from him.

they were customs figures that were not finished. The guy got back with me and said "These were found with a big lot of other 1970's dolls all of which were 8 inch dolls measured at the same time with a vinyl measuring tape." I may just return them. I was the only bidder on them so he can try and resale them if he wants.
Ok upon further looking at them I was wrong. These are the Gabriel Lone Ranger and Tonto figures. So I will keep them after all.Last edited by monitor_ep; Sep 27, '13, 7:27 PM.Visit my wiki site:

I was reunited with an old friend, Mego 3.75" Buck Rogers. Got him a week or so ago. One of my neighbors gave me a Mego 8" T1 Spock a few weeks ago minus the belt, phaser, communicator, and tricorder.Comment

Got these two C/A sets in recently. Both appear to have never been on a figure. Someone pulled them off the cards and there they sat. I plan on getting the costumes and accessories re-attached to the cards.

I've been trying to pick up a some of the vintage 12" Takara New Joes. These came out in 1970-1971 in Japan and the bodies were licensed from Hasbro. They came out before the Henshin Cyborg line and the 1980's Combat Joe lines. I got these two from the original owner, he's from TX. As a child his dad was in the military and they lived in Japan during the late 1960's to early 1970's.
Both of these guys came with their original Takara tagged clothes, and Takara marked brown rubber boots.
This is the Soldier and Marine.
I also got some other stuff including the carry/playset. That set is called the Front Base I believe. I also got some other pieces and weapons with them, and sever are marked Hasbro, but have some differences.
I also just got these two guys in as well, also Takara New Joes guys. Again these are vintage Takara around 1970-1971.
This is the German Tanker on the left and German Soldier on the right.
Close up of the German Tanker.
I'm loving this thing! Takara New Joe Secret Base playset!
It runs on batteries and lights up! Has a radar screen, oh my!
