Sorry to hear your brother sold so many of them on you. That bites. Still cool you have some childhood ones left though and that is one freaky knock off.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

LadyZod I love your smurf collection. I don't collect them but I love to see them. It reminds me of a place I used to visit.

There used to be a store in Providence RI that sold the little smurf figures. The lady was a collector too and she had a huge on display. I used to go in there all the time just to look at them. I remember the village and windmill and all the different figures. I miss that store it was very cool to visit.

I finally got these in last week. The box included 5 sets of 20 different designs. If anybody is interested I'm selling each set for $60.00 shipped so that averages out to $3.00 per Smurf. The box can be turned into a cool counter top tray display but unfortunately it got a tear at the bottom of the graphic from the tape being pulled away during shipping. If anybody is interested in the box I'll take $15.00 shipped for that. PayPal gladly accepted.

I was just in Zurich, Switzerland and stopped in a toy store to look for presents to take home for my kids. Close to the front door was a huge Smurf display with bins and bins of the smurf characters. It reminded me of the same kind of smurf displays Spencer's Gift used to have in the 80's when I was in grade school.
Apparently, they are still very big in Switzerland? Who knew?

Smurfs have been continually popular all over the world and new figures have been released every year. Only the US has been offically Smurfless since the mid 90s when Irwin released a bunch of the Schleich Smurfs on new cards.

I started recollecting Smurfs a few months ago.

I collected them as a kid, and like everything else I collected, I hoarded... err, kept them. Just found them the other day while cleaning out my storage room. I have yet to look through them but thought I might give them to my daughter.

Man, I loved the smurfs as a kid!
