Wow, check out the prices of those things. If you take inflation into account the Intellivision is way more expensive than the PS3 or Xbox 360. Hell, you can get a Wii for $250.00 30 years later.

Intellivision had better graphics and better software. It was a better system. But I LOVED ATARI!!! It was the first and it gave me something to focus on between Megos and girls.
        WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.

100% Atari, all the way. I never played an Intellivision system, so I can't really say I wouldn't have preferred it possibly. I remember a few kids talking about it and how superior it was to Atari. My favorite games were (and still are)-- Yars Revenge, Demon Attack, Adventure, Kaboom!, Pitfall, Super Breakout....to name just several.

I want to get the Flashback II system, even though I still have the original games. One of these days I'd like to get a like-new S-Video modified Atari 2600, once I can afford it.

People make fun of me for still being so into Atari games but they're fun. I've tried playing the new modern video games and with a few exceptions, I just don't really enjoy them. Basically you can give me a 2600 with a bunch of games, and a nice old pinball machine, and I can have fun for ages.

Reminds me of my mom. She's 65 and plays video games. Don't get in her way if there's a poker game for any of the systems.
