I never even heard of Quisp until I was an adult. When was that from, the 60's or something? I'm guessing it never survived into the 70's, I never saw the cereal or commercials as a kid. Or was it a regional thing?

I used to eat Quisp back in the day and remember their TV commercials.

I'm guessing they went out of business around '76-ish

I want even start with Freakies , if you guys had never heard of Quisp and Quake...lordy
I used to love Freakies, well the toys and boxes, the cereal I could give or take...

A cereal box expert on the prop forum I belong to says Quisp is also in one of the bagged cereals like Ralston or something, it is just in a different shape and containor, but the receipet and tastes is the same, and yes Quisp can still be gotten on online.

Here is a forum just about cereal boxes, the guy that runs it has a bunch of vintage boxes.

I loved the monster cereals when I was a kid, but my mom, the queen of cheap coupon clippers, would rarely buy them for me. So when I was sixish, I brought to school and ate an entire sandwich baggie full of cat food because it LOOKED like Count Chocula. Taste? Well that was a different story! Was I desperate to fit in, or what?

As an adult, I now live in a region where the monster cereals are only available around Halloween. I don't know what is more frightening, the fact I am fortyish and still buy Frankenberry, or the fact that I have to adjust my grocery budget because I will buy enough every October to last an entire year.

Funny,...as a kid my lack of Frankberry made me a freak. As an adult, my shopping cart full of it every October makes me even more of a freak! LOL

Booberry was my favourite as a kid, it went away when I was five.

Every year around Halloween I end up visiting the states, seeing Booberry and bringing a box back for my kids. I have to buy two however because one doesn't make the two hour drive home....
