Not sure if anyone mentioned this already, but the Wrigleyville area up by Wrigley Field has quite a few cool shops there, most within reasonable walking distance from one another. Hollywood Mirror features a lot of cool vintage clothes, toys, and kitschy items from the 1950s thru 1990s, and there's a couple of good comic shops, music shops, and bars/music venues in that area too. A good italian restaurant named Lena's (formerly Leona's) is located on Sheffield and Belmont Avenue. Also right in that area on Sheffield Avenue is the Brew & View, held inside the classic venue The Vic Theater, where they show everything from new superhero flicks to classic John Hughes comedies and sci-fi classics, and you can order booze if you're into that sort of thing

Giordano's, is that where we went and it took the waiting staff over an hour to figure out the bill? Not thrilled with the food or the service. But yeah, Portillo's was awesome!Leave a comment:

i concur: the art museum is a must-see (modern-wing just re-opened) and graham cracker comics is nearby on foot! also, while no megos were found there, toy de jour in logan square is well worth the CTA train ride for reasonably priced vintage toys and collectibles. and the golden apple in lakeview seems to be everyone's favorite 24 hour greasy spoon...Leave a comment:
