Blue Chicago is a very good blues club in the more touristy part of town. There's better clubs, but not in the nicer areas. Have a drink at the top of the Hancock building on Michigan ave. Not as tall as the Willis (Sears) tower as it's only 100 stories, but it's really cool. The art museum, also on Michigan Ave is world class. And if you get a chance, go by where the Bears play, Soldier Field. It has maybe the worst renovation of any stadium I can think of. It looks like a UFO landed in a Roman coliseum, and it also reminds of Jiffy Pop.

Wrigley Field, where the Cubs play, is one of the greatest places in the country to see a ball game, and Wrigleyville, the area around it, is the absolute best area surrounding a ball part to hang out in.

Chicago deep dish pizza is an institution. I suggest Giordano’s or Pizzeria Due. Again, those that live there could probably tell you where to get better pizza, but these are in areas where a tourist wants to go, and that's worth something.

Lastly, walk through Grant Park and next to it Millennium park. Beautiful area between the "Magnificent Mile" part of Michigan avenue and Lake Michigan. You can't go wrong planning to spend some time along this part of Michigan Avenue.

I spent 6 hours in the art museum last mego meet. i could have spent days.
we also walked around visiting sites (Bean, beach, garden etc) and in the evening saw a live concert at Millennial Park.

    start here: http://www.choosechicago.com/things-...llennium-park/

tuesday night free concert: June 16: Nneka + Gina Chavez
Lily and I saw The Very Best in concert there last year. bring in a picnic. many brought wine/beer in and it was tolerated. they also sell $6 beer and wine and there are plenty of food vendors around. this is where the Bean is. -and the face fountains. the museum is a block away.

I'm not in Chicago often, but when I am in town, with a night to spare, I order the 'Butter Fish' at Roy's:

The Macadamian Crusted Mahi-Mahi is not bad either
