    Removable Mask Robin ??

    Hi,

I used a "buy it now" on ebay to buy this guy for $499. I am hoping that the mask is real but I am not an expert (at all) on these. I really really wanted one so took a chance

I'm not 100% if the "R" insignia is real, but to me - that mask looks totally original and in very nice condition! Whoa, excellent score - congratulations! I'm very jealous!
Currently seeking - Original RM Robin mask. Plus other various WGSH parts.

    Good traders list

Mask looks real to me (although I can't really see the strap, but the backing material looks correct). Agree on the "R". Still, great score!

Wow--looks authentic to me, with perhaps a replaced strap. Great score!

The strap does look like it was replaced. When the mask is on Robin the corners of the mask should not pull back. The corners should stick straight out to the left and right. We need a picture with the mask on the Robin. A clearer picture of the back of the mask would be good so that we could better se the strap.

Very nice, hoping for you it is legit, I was watching this one as well, I wasn't convinced that the mask was the real deal, the few that I have seen the mesh was a BRIGHTER MORE PRONOUNCED WHIT/GRAY on the inside of the mask, so that shooed me away, but then again it is a bad photo.

Hm?, i'm not convinced, there's something about the material that doesn't sit right with me. It should be a lot shinier at the front and the eyes holes more diamond shaped. I think Len (Hobub) would be the man to ask. Could be a hand made repro.

I too hope it is real but it doesn't seem right somehow. Is the seller well known?

Man I hope it is the real deal for you...that would be a sweet, sweet score.

The back of the mask is what is making me say no. It should be a whiter meshy material. And the eyeholes should be a solid diamond pattern.

My initial hunch says a very nice custom repro...but I hope not. It very well could be the real deal.

I just took a look at my Robin mask. The back of mine is a whiter meshy material. The eye holes were cut with the diamond pattern. We deffinitly need a few crystal clear and bright pictures of this mask. If it is a repro than it is the best one that I've seen to being almost the real deal.

Hi - not trying to pee on anyone's parade here but the mask does not look like any of mine.

The mesh on mine are pretty thick and overlap the mask a tiny bit
The eye holes look to perfect on this one, mine look like little slits
The ones I have are also very a shinny material on the outside
And finally the back attachments do not look as the ones I have

Now please take into consideration that I'm no expert...just comparing this one to the ones I have.

Hi - again, only my opinion but that masks looks like it fits the figure's face perfectly...all of mine look like the masks are too big for the figure's head.

I hope it's real but if I had to place a bet???? my vote would be no, it's not.

Again, I'm no expert...just comparing them to mine

I think it should look too big - it is from 1974! I don't think elastic lasts that long. Sometimes things are too good to be true - even though this was not that good. I keep flipping back and forth too! I even counted the stitching between the two eyes - it seemed correct but the weave looks off! I am just as frustrated - that is why I asked for help! As usual this is the best place with the best people!! I really do appreciate the help - especially since my wife bought it for me That does not happen much (actually this may be a first - and if it is fake - probably the last!!
