I bought some bodies from eBay a couple of weeks ago and could smell the mildew before I even opened the post box. I washed them with warm water, let them dry and then put them in a Ziploc bag with a dryer sheet. It works like a charm.
I have a Gibson Les Paul guitar that stinks really bad form the previous owner, I tried everything, I may throw a dryer sheet or two in the case and close it up, maybe it will work on a larger scale.
