Interesting story. Would be awesome if you could track the dude down and confirm such a thing. Mudd being real or not, if he worked for Mego it would still be cool.

There was a custom Harry Mudd figure (maybe more than one) on a Star Trek Alien card (which I thought was funny because Harry is an Earthling) making the rounds at Star Trek Conventions in the 1980's (when I went to them and I saw it more than once).

It's entirely possible he got a custom Harry Mudd

unfortunately, from what I have been able to gather over the years, no Harry Mudd prototype was ever produced by Mego (nor chekov or sulu or rand or chapel, etc)... they were rumored to have been on the drawing board, but never got off "paper", so to speak

Yeah, I think Intergalactic trading company had some, they were crude and kit bashed but mind blowing in the 80s. When I last visited their store (around 2000) they were still there!

I'm sure they made more than one. Anyhow, that's what I saw at the conventions.

That's actually a pretty cool custom and looks more like him than some of the official Mego released characters! Neat!
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

This reminds me of the guy who came on here and said that he remembered seeing a sale sample Mego Flash
