It's still running really slow for me. Dial-up style slow.

moves lightning fast here. if you haven't already done the following, give it a try - close other programs or pages, clear cache. update browser, try a different browser, restart computer. if that doesn't work, go to Joe's house, take his collection and hold it hostage until he fixes the problem.

I put a screenshot in at full size and it comes out little and you can't read the little blurry font. I sure liked the museum better before the update...

Unfortunately, leaving it as it was was untenable. We couldn't update :PHP and other things because doing so would have broken the forums, which meant we couldn't upgrade a lot of what we needed to on the rest of the site. It also created a ton of security risks. Just be patient with us, as we learn the new system and try to work out the kinks..

I'm not sure how it works, but for working out the kinks, I recommend the hammer and anvil method. Didn't work so good with my last computer, but hardware is different from software. It at least helps with the frustration...

                  Hello,

The old forum used to have an arrow button to go immediately to the last page of posts. So other than typing over the current page number with the last page number, is there any other way to do that?

                  Chris

I get the "server is too busy" message more than I actually get to the forum.

Same here unfortunately, plus I have to log in again while I’m already logged in. There’s and old saying, “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it”
But I’m old school anyways, I’m sure at some point, it will be all figured out.

Anyone else having trouble posting? I occasionally get to post something, but it takes several tries. I can usually read one post before the forum says it's too busy and to try again later.

The upgrade was very necessary and long overdue, and we put it off as long as we did because we knew some things would go away. Ultimately, though, I think everyone will be much happier with the new setup.
Sorry you are going through this. I just had to do this back in May with a forum I run. Had to go from phpBB 3.0.12 to phpBB 3.3.10. It had been 10 years since the last update on that forum.
The worst thing was trying to find a skin that looked closest to the old default style. Took a little over a month of investigating and tweaking to get things working more-or-less like before.
There are a few things I am not happy with here (mostly the super slow loading time), but I am patient and know it will get sorted eventually.
                              Good luck.
