And no interest in a preorder either so it's an easy pass. I have to do adult things with my money like replace my roof. I do agree that the suits look too bulky and no I don't care for the shiny look to the new heads.

It seems so... I went to order these as soon as I saw the announcement, and it only gave options for U.S. or U.K. I clicked U.S. just to see what happened (hoping I could still get them just, of course, pay in US funds) but it immediately said this product does not ship to Canada. I can't even find Mego figures at any of my local Walmarts or anything. It sucks because Mego has a huge number of fans here in Canada and probably many more I am unaware of... There's also the potential to generate countless new collectors/buyers if more Canadians had greater access to the product.

Not shipping these to Canada is on Hasbro.

I didn't realize that was you - congrats Tom

Ghostbusters look great. Congrats Tom, and all who worked on these! Homerun. That price point is REALLY tempting though, even though I've had to put the brakes on purchases a bit. VERY tempting.

Mixed feelings on these. While I'm very happy to see Mego acquiring new licenses...with new bodies and hard plastic heads, can they even be called Mego anymore?

Now, before anyone thinks I'm being a "Debbie downer"...let me just say they look GREAT! The price is pretty amazing for 4 figures! That said, not something I feel I need to own(or do I?). Plus, as somebody else pointed out...if Hasbro is willing to work with Mego...can STAR WARS be far behind?

I'm pretty sure that if Mego makes them and they still fit the classic aesthetics/parameters (8", cloth outfits), they're still Megos. :-)

I like rotocast heads, but we've all been using hard resin and 3D-printed heads for years for customs, so the jump to plastic factory heads isn't huge I suppose.
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

"But look at the hands!!!! They aren't using the usual Mego hands!!! Won't someone think of the children!?!"

Joking aside, I think these look wonderful (nice paint job, Tom!) but I don't begrudge anyone choosing to pass on these. We have an embarrassment of riches on the Mego front. It has given us the luxury of being able to be selective. As a wise man once said: "Buy what you like!"

Cool to see Mego continue to evolve into this niche space, respectful of vintage standard/fanbase, but meeting contemporary design expectations of 21st C. collectors. Seems so obvious, that this is how they can grow and flourish as small toy company.

If folks can't appreciate what's happened in this realm of Mego x Neca x Mezco x FTC x BBP x Castaway x EMCE progression, then they can still relish in literally hundreds of late 20th C. vintage options which largely remain obtainable. Despite the grossly-unrealistic-yet-perpetual expectations that any one toy company is going to make everyone happy, we have indeed lived long enough to be spoiled rotten. Suck it up and have some fun!

glad to see the demise of the cup hands and the banded body that they could not get right, especially in the shoulders. I caved since I don't take the hit on the CC till way later.

I will be happy, when the new Mego body is more widely available. I won't take Rocky's rope off, because the scrawny shoulders & biceps...just don't look right on him. I want to make a John Rambo custom, but again, the man needs some muscle.

And yeah, we have been using resin heads for quite some time now....I can adjust.

I really appreciate all the kind feedback. Paul has kept me super busy ever since and its been a great relationship. I was glad they mentioned Bluto. Keep smiling everyone. Marty's excitement is shared by all of us. I've lost count of how many times, I've received a collection of heads and said (out loud) "Wow! Really?" Mego is on their "A" game and more great things are coming. Its been a real privilege to be so involved with all of these talented artists during such a pivotal chapter in their celebrated history. Good people, priceless memories.
