if they adjust the release schedule, and release 4 or 6 or 8 figures at one time, then yes, that will help the shipping issue as you can then order what were multiple weeks of figures and have only one shipping charge. granted they charge $2 more per additional figure, but that is still a lot cheaper than it currently is -
I'm not so sure that's correct. You might think it is, but less available means less sales. I don't think the "shipping issue" is going to change. At least price wise.Leave a comment:

Let me clarify my opinion of some figures not being produced. I am not referring to figures that people have already bought. Joel already said in Facebook that all those will be produced. I was referring to future releases. The Topps deal may only go for a limited time and the figures they are offering are figures that Mego has said wouldn't sell well at mass retail. If Topps offers fewer figures over longer periods of time then when the deal ends there's a lot of figures that we could have had that didn't get produced that Mego won't release at mass retail. Not misinformation just my opinion of what the future could hold by slowing things down.Leave a comment:

You mean a (hopefully) improved sales strategy? You're thinking short term gratification versus long term success.
The print runs Topps has been posting for new figures isn't very impressive, due in part to people being overwhelmed with product and turned off by excessive shipping cost.
Slowing down the release schedule a bit and addressing the shipping issue will result in people buying MORE figures, not LESS.Leave a comment:

I don't see, barring some announcement from the parties involved, how this ipso facto means certain figures will not be produced.Leave a comment:

Yeah, I think that is possibly what's happening here. It's a bit of a law of diminishing returns. I bet sales would actually trend upward when some of the early campaigns arrive. There is a certain psychological aspect to that.Leave a comment:

it also comes down to long wait times to get any actual product in hand. People are investing a tremendous amount of money up front, for things that won't be in hand for 5-6 months. A lot of people have an issue with that, and it is a legitimate issueLeave a comment:

So the two companies that are doing these exclusives have nothing to do with the shipping carrier and cost?Leave a comment:

I completely agree Lonnie. Less figures and longer wait times is probably going to mean that a lot of figures we could have had will now never get made. I also agree Brian that Mego listening to criticism from fans is a positive thing. For some of us though like LonnieFisher and myself that liked having the new figures every Monday it's disappointing to see that go away.Leave a comment:

I think it was fine the way it was. I don't see how it could get better. All the changes people are suggesting mean less figures or longer waiting time to get them. Complaints about shipping cost should be taken up with the shipping companies, not Mego or Topps.Leave a comment:

It's not scrapped, I think it's actually a positive thing, they're listening to criticism from fans and seeing how to make it better.Leave a comment:
