Waugh! Fun figure with some nice details.
I'm honestly surprised--and pleased--that Mego did the Penguin, I figured he's a bit passe for modern merchandising.

Great job on the Penguin to all those involved! This latest wave of DC figures is the best yet. Just gorgeous. Great updates of the classic characters, but still feel very Mego!
And thanks to the Museum for sharing these!

Mego Gallery Update from Wave 13, it's the Penguin!
DC Comics: Mego The Penguin The Mego Penguin joins the growing ranks of 8″ DC Comics heroes in wave 13, he is the 3rd Batman villain to be produced. The look of course is an update of the classic Mego Penguin from the World’s Greatest Superheroes. The major difference is he now has a removable…Read more →Leave a comment:

That Kirk head is amazing. Hope it makes it to the 8-inch figures.14" Captain Kirk photos added to the Mego Museum Galleries.

Not crazy about the fit on Caesar's clothing, but I do like the repaint. This seems to follow suit with the Cornelius figure, the paint & body were great but the clothing was cut too short for the figure. I'll probably only buy 10

Mego Museum Gallery Update: Added Caesar from Planet of the Apes Wave 13 with photography and video:
Mego Planet of the Apes: Caesar (Wave 13 2021) Caesar is the latest Planet of the Apes character from Mego and one of the first original characters that deviate from the Classic Mego Planet of the Apes series. Caesar was the star of the last two ape films and was played by Roddy McDowell so…Read more →Leave a comment:

I still have to pinch myself that Mego is making Hammer figures, especially a Cushing Van Helsing. I kind of love the odd use of Cushing as the original Van Helsing's descendant from The Satanic Rites of Dracula on the cardback. I'm sure that's what was available, since the film is in public domain. But the slightly out-of-synch graphics perfectly align with what Mego used to do on their packaging.
That Captain Kirk is stunning. Shatner is notoriously hard to capture in sculptures, but this nails that determined look of his perfectly.

I really like this a lot, I think it’s a very good likeness and it even has the fists included so he can beat the tar out of those nasty Klingons. I don’t collect anything over 8” in size, but I might have to make an exception for this one.14" Captain Kirk photos added to the Mego Museum Galleries.

Mego mummy has the correct moldy color wrappings, it looks more realistic and not the clean white EMCE version wrapping.
I also noticed it’s a Karloff image but the back of the card shows the Tom Tyler image from the Mummy’s Hand (1940)
not a big deal, just thought it was a little odd.Leave a comment:

14" Captain Kirk photos added to the Mego Museum Galleries.
Mego 14″ Captain Kirk (Star Trek) Captain Kirk is one of three 14″ Star Trek figures from Mego corp. This figure was announced in 2019 but was unfortunately canceled due to factory closure. The original prototype shown at Toyfair used the heads from the classic Mego Star Trek the Motion picture 12″ Kirk but Mego…Read more →Leave a comment:

I like the New Mego wrappings, they look older than the EMCE version. I was disappointed that the Mego Mummy does not have the ring.

Van Helsing goodness; what a great turn in Mego history with Hammer in the mix!
… lots of options for additional/proper accessories to be made. Wondering if there's a vest under that coat too.Last edited by Confessional; Jul 4, '21, 11:17 AM.Leave a comment:
