I'm very happy to see the original Mego Spock reissued again. I hope they reissue all the original Mego Trek figures along with the additions EMCE did and then add new characters.

Christmas is coming, and if there is a kid you can get into these figures. Do it.
I'll be giving out at least 10 of them so far.
We have to make sure Target wants to keep this up.
It's not up to Doc & Marty (LOL) It's on us to keep this going for years to come.

I know Lonnie and others might have wanted a variant, but there is the Mirror Mirror set for now.
I personally do not have the classic Spock anymore (had Spock and Kirk when I was a wee child).
So I was kind of wishing for him.

I just think a new outfit would sell to people who won't buy the new figure because they already have one like him. I've seen a lot of comments about people not getting something because it's just like what they have in their collection, and don't need another. Once again, this wasn't a complaint, it was an observation by somebody who cares how well Mego is going to do. Sure, people will buy it, but would they have bought more if he was wearing something different. The rumor is that Kirk will be wearing a different outfit from all the other regular figures that have been produced over the decades. Seems like that will sell way more than Spock wearing the same blue shirt. For me it's the difference between "I'll get one." and "I'll buy a bunch!".

I'm not debating that a variation Spock wouldn't sell, I hope we see one in a future wave. I just think regular Spock will sell well as an opener.

Yup. Chief among the reasons that I skipped the mirror set is that I wanted to secure a classic Kirk and Spock before I started worrying about variants.
