Only time I think the numbers would matter to me is if they had a personal meaning to me like the year I was born or something along those lines. The chuckle factor would be to hard to pass up.

For the most part I have been opening the figures anyways for custom fodder. I do have some I have decided to keep in the package because once taken out you sorta forget who they are (Charlies Angels).
I was really hoping to find some early releases this weekend but down in Texas there really is no chance. From what I have gathered most action figure early releases come from the "New England" or Northern states for some reason. One would think it would be Cali that would get them early since they come from China (for the majority of action figures).Visit my wiki site:

^ I thought Texas was the first to put out wave 1. Or maybe I am confusing with DC Imaginext wave 5. Cannot find those little suckers anywhere!
I guess it would be cool if you bought a Sulu and he was number 1701 of the run. Ha!Comment

I don't care about the numbers, but yes, I'd love to have a Star Trek figure numbered 1701. That's the only exception. You read my mind....

In this particular case, 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 sounds like a launch. Sulu was a helmsman. I know no one else in the universe cares, but to me, it's cool.
I wouldn't pay more for a Mego because of the number...at least I don't think I would -Haha! But, no, it doesn't have anything to do with thinking they will be worth more because of certain numbers. It's just my personal preference.Last edited by generic; Sep 9, '18, 10:16 PM.Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.Comment

I happened to get a 502 Hendrix. I googled it to see if it was in any way significant. Turns out there's a Hendrix album with 502 as part of the serial number, but that seems to be it.Expectation is the death of discovery.Comment

As I said in my post, I know it doesn't matter. I'm OCD about numbers. I always have been. When I'm sitting around waiting for something, I compulsively count things. I do needless math in my head all the time. I really can't explain it. Some numbers just feel right for whatever reason.Comment

When Greg Brady hits the shelves, someone could also use his shirt to make custom Trip & Malcolm go to Risa figures, from Enterprise. Ha!, Ha!Comment
