Has there been any hints if Mego has any plans to do a remake of "Dinah Mite" (in the same vain as the new Action Jackson)? -
They're selling pretty well at the Target in Greenland, NH...when I first saw the end cap it was full and now it's half empty! It's clearly been picked over, but there's still a good assortment of figures. 😀Leave a comment:

If Target thinks they can get 14.99 for these they wouldn't lower the price to 12.99.
There may have been a plan to release wave 2 but Target is trying to sell these, and nothing is selling where I have checked. The Mattel DC retros were 14.99 at Toy r us
and I bought most of them for 5 dollars each at Marshalls and TJ MaxxLeave a comment:

The two figures callistofreak bought rang up with wave one numbers. The figures are ringing up with the master case numbers instead of their individual numbers, and these rung up as if they were from the Dracula/Action Jackson/Sulu case.Leave a comment:

That I believe.. but, with MEGO sending the new figures to Target now, and with these aligning under the general DCPIs then it's out of both their control.
(I predicted this would happen here a few days ago, when the 1st $12.99 pp showed up .. as I've seen this very same scenario play out many times before.)Leave a comment:

Target doesn't want wave two out there right now, I know that for a fact, trust me. Any figures out there are pure happenstance, ie luck.MEGO Corp knowledge is one thing, TARGET business practices is another all-together different animal.
If the price has been lowered at TARGET, MEGO is out of the picture controlling what happens at the store level. (Though it could be addressed if 'nuff wheels start squeaking)
If a DCPI is associated with a line of toys, then any change (typically price cuts) are reflected within that DCPI family - for all figures sharing that DCPI. The wave 2 figures are still aligned under the initial master assortment DCPI, and as such it's not really luck, it's just basic TARGET business practices providing savings to those figures.
I'll hazard to guess Wave 3 will also fall under all the established master DCPIs.. which means, for me, every figure I buy and every 2-pack I buy will be at the lowest price available (currently $12.99 & $24.99 respectively). Again, that's not luck, that's knowing how Target works.
Best, and of course YMMV
Wave two is set to come out end of September and the official announcement by Target, is set for then.Leave a comment:

Weird Al would be good. He'd look great in that shirt.
Could expand on this and could also have a couple characters from UHF.
---------------
Magnum P.I. would be fun as well. I suppose his ring from the show could be painted on his hand, and there should be a rubber chicken and gorilla mask around somewhere.

^If it's his opinion on Megos, it's as good as a fact will get.

Thanks much for the report. A little far for me to hitch a ride, unfortunately, as Frankie and the Romulan make up 2/3 of the newbies I'm after.Leave a comment:
