    The Mego Corp 1960 Catalog

A new entry into the Mego Library today, this time it's something rarely seen or talked about. Before they were the World's Greatest Toy Company Mego was an efficient company that sold modestly priced toys in something called "The Basement Department".
For a small company, they could provide an entire toy department with what needed and it's an interesting and terrific piece of Mego history.

Wow there are some cool little toys in there..
a bar-b-q under friction cars, a bit odd but I would love to see one.

      Neat vintage stuff as always.

My favorite is the "Bend Me Beatnik" doll. It looks like he has a bong!

On the "like mother" page I noticed an item that ties into a later Mego release. A Robin Hood game! Now your collection is incomplete! Start searching ebay now!!!

        Cool stuff Brian, thanks!

Actually you can thank Mike J for this, he did all the work, I just put them in the folder. I am really glad to have this here.

            Okay, thanks Mike J!

I also spotted a "Pirate soap dish" in the infants section, but that's kind of pushing it.

This is awesome!!! We have so much information about the company during the 70's, its nice to see some stuff to fill in the decades before.

I wonder if the friction cars were made in Japan.
