    Just my luck

Yesterday I got my L'Amico Jackson Agente Segreto boxed accessory set from Bryan. I decided that I am going to open it up and put the uniform on one of my 3 Action Jacksons. I decided to put it on my white bearded one because he has the dark blue jumpsuit and my African American AJ is also in the dark blue jumpsuit. So I open the box, get the figure out, remove the jumpsuit, get the spy pants on, get the spy shirt halfway on, and then SNAP the right arm breaks off at the elbow. SONOVA!

At least I have the jumpsuit lined-up for a trade.

Time to find a replacement arm and learn the art of re-stringing!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

I don't have the patience for that. Maybe I'll just make a sling and cast for him and he can be "Injured" Action Jackson.

restringing a body takes about 35 seconds and costs about 10 cents. Take the head off cut the elastic and take it to your local JoAnns fabrics or similar store. You'll get like 10 feet of elastic for under 2 bucks. Ya still gotta find an arm but once you do it's a piece of cake to restring.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

Trust me, restringing is REALLY, REALLY easy. Just try it and you'll be happy you did, so will your AJ

T1s are so easy, even I can do it! Though my method is ever so slightly different than the Custom Mego instructions it's still just as effective. It took a little trial & error, but now it's pretty effortless. You'd have to ask someone else about the arm, though.

If you don't want to restring him, Then take a little model glue and reglue the arm in place. Granted it won't bend agian but it'll atleast look good on display

Trust me,you'll get addicted to stringing Type 1s. My favorite thing to do any more is to buy Type 1s that are in pieces and re-string them myself.

I now have 3 AJs that need to be re-strung. So today I went to A.C. Moore and they had no idea about elastic cord. I tried explaining that it was to fix an action figure and they told me that I was better off going to a comic book store.

I could also use another T-0 or T-1 left arm if anyone has an extra.

The advice I got (I think from Scott) when I first discoved MM, is to go to a fabric and sewing store and get some narrow, flat elastic cord, (because it's easier to knot than the rounded elastic). I think this is the same elastic that's used to gather sleeves in women's blouses.

                            Hope this helps!

If there is a Hobby Lobby near you go there and look in the sewing section.
