I loved Romero's Joker, but now as an adult I kind of wish he was more of a sinister villian like the comic, then comical
although correct me if I'm wrong, he did end up killing Grayson's heartthrob Susie with some kind of perfume? then when
one of his henchman told him, he simply just said something like, " oh well that's how things can go sometimes"

In my mind I picture a head more like WoOz, an actor in make-up. I am rusty on my '66 knowledge, did any of the male villains wear anything more elaborate than an eye mask?

I've always thought Batman '66 would've featured a Scarecrow with a burlap hood, painted face, and hat. The guest-villains had to be recognizable for the most part. And, I can't imagine anyone else as Scarecrow besides Don Knotts.

Knotts or Bob Denver. Maybe Sterling Holloway for a good recognizable voice behind the mask.
