^More than U.F.O.? I may have to check it out; I don't recall watching a few episodes on PBS fifty years ago.

U.F.O is available on my cable network, I’ve never watched it, so I’ll have to check it out.

I will definitely check these out! I had no idea they existed until now. (Looks like Series 1 and 2 are currently available, with 3 and 4 coming.) I remember rumors/hopes/speculation intermittently for years that something like this might be done. I kind of gave up hope about 8-10 years ago, when Gareth Thomas, Jacqueline Pearce, and Paul Darrow all died within 2-3 years of one another.

Just checked out this 1 minute teaser that the BBC posted on You Tube:

As to whether it's good or not, I've personally always loved it, but, for broader context, when I moved to London 25 years ago, and mentioned in passing to British colleagues (maybe at a pub or a wine bar after work) that I had really liked Blake's 7 as a teenager, they all reacted with the exact same mix of surprise that I even knew what it was, and that I had liked an old, obscure British TV show that they only vaguely remembered as low budget and for kids. The way I always thought of it by analogy would be if a British guy in his 30s had come to California to work a corporate job with me, and then told me over a few beers at a bar that as a teenager he'd really liked "Land of the Lost" when it aired on ITV.

[SPOILER ALERT - 45+ YEARS LATER]

But, as someone who really, really liked the show, I would say the consensus praise for it, i.e. that which made it enduring, was: (1) the premise was unique in that the main characters were conceived originally as 'the Dirty Dozen in Space,' so not good guy heroes, merely flawed criminals rebelling against the evil Federation, (2) point 1 leads to surprising, genre convention-busting betrayals and rivalries among the main characters, (3) with the departure of the titular Blake mid-way through the show's run, the character of Avon came to the forefront and I think most long-time fans of Blake's 7 love that character most, as well as his awesome rivalry/flirtation with villainess Servelan, and (4) the most famous episode of the show by far, and the one even 'regular people' remembered, was the final one: the titular lead character Blake, absent from the show for two years, suddenly returns and is shockingly killed by Avon, and then, just minutes later, Avon is surrounded by evil Federation troopers and presumably killed in a 'Butch and Sundance'-like 'fade-to black', bleak finale -an amazing, amazing ending.

Blakes and UFO are of the same cloth, darker science fiction. I love them both for different reasons, things UFO had Blake's lacked and vise versa.

That Wonder Woman card art is really nice.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I saw it!! Oh lord, I saw it. Time to start selling some stuff. Thanks for the shout-out, gents.

In addition to Buzz, this is a stellar newsletter. The proposed Mego hero cards are heartbreaking. Great customs as always, love that Doc Savage.
