Great issue! Loving those new Apes!

Someone needs to tell Javier that Big Lots no longer exists.

Javier and I were pleased to be informed today that Big Lots has reopened some stores. There's one not too far from me! I will report back on whether or not it has the same panache in its new form.

Really enthusiastic about White Elephant's upcoming new ape figures!

I've bought two of their apes so far (one of which glows in the dark!) and really like them both. So I definitely welcome more!

As an aside, I was going to buy one of those female bodies when, for a long time, it was listed on their website for, I think, $10, under the name "Lena." I had one in my cart in their online store for months, just waiting for White Elephant to release some new figures that I'd buy. And then one day, maybe a month ago or so, that "Lena" listing was removed entirely from their online store. I was kind of surprised. Now I know why!

The burlap-like mesh on several of these new figures definitely reminds me of the vintage Mego PotA astronauts.

My only dilemma (to resolve by Tuesday): the new ape I like the best has the same head as one of their prior apes that I already own....

Lastly, the clothes on the Argos ape remind me of those the astronaut Peter Burke wore on the PotA TV show 50 years ago.

Thank you once again for a very enjoyable ToyVentures Weekly!

Great newsletter again. I had never seen those Micronaut puzzles before.

Awesome job as always Brain and Steve! And thanks for sharing the FF figure article, and teasing the El Hombre Lobo art! I have been having a blast (off) on this!

Another great TV Weekly: thank you once again!

Great to see the photo of those Micronuats puzzles (which I, too, had never seen before). I never liked doing puzzles a kid, I think because one of my grandmothers was a massive puzzle enthusiast, and perpetually had a very elaborate one half done on her dining room table. Whenever my parents dropped off my sister and I at their house for a day, she invariably suggested that we sit at the table and work on whatever her current puzzle was (commonly a giant photo of autumnal foliage)....

I really enjoyed that photo of the custom of the Squire of Gothos (as I know him) riding a horse with Kirk in the background: fantastic! (That figure would also make an excellent Liberace custom!)

Really glad to see the update from Jason of White Elephant Toyz that their newest figures are selling well. I'm a definite fan of their work, and a multiple repeat customer.

Lastly, this week's Toy Shelf photo is completely amazing! I, too, have had a lifelong affection for both 70s Hulk and Planet of the Apes. So this collection, which is waaaayyy more extensive than my own, is particularly impressive to me!

Fantastic Weekly once again: thank you!

Really impressed by the Workplace Shelfie! So many things there that I also appreciate, and several I wish I owned myself. (Though the five portraits of Ming the Merciless, as well as the Ming bust, would likely give me momentary pause on my first day if this person were my direct report boss!)

Several excellent customs as well. I am probably a 'prisoner of the moment' (as Season 2 will premier in, I think, three weeks, and I really enjoyed Season 1), but I thought that "Peacemaker" custom was particularly well made!

That Superstar doll is a little freaky. Seriously that would have been nightmare fuel as a child.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
