That Colombia news is incredible. Looking forward for more info. I wish I had known about it when I visited back in '15. I tagged along with my wife for some conferences she had in Bogata. I spent a lot of time on my own that should've been spent hunting for toys!WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment

Wondering out loud... these figures (along with Basa and Lily Ledy) are the result of two things combining in the 70’s- an import substitution act (laws that shut out certain imports to require/support local manufacturing) and a strong enough economy to support the sale of discretionary items like toys. That’s actually most of South America except notably Chile (Pinochet was a dictator but was actually pretty open market and would’ve not had an import substitution act. Does that mean there might be locally produced Mego offshoots in Argentina or Uruguay or Venezuela?
I think we can also eliminate Brazil. Their economy was string enough they seem to have had their own licensing agreements. There also seems to be pretty good lines of communications established with today's Brazilian collectors. We’d probably already know if they existed there.
And Steve, that sounds like the ponderings of prettty big shot to me!WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.Comment

I’m not really into this category of figures, but the custom packaging option is a great idea on the part of FTC.

I get the presidents from a business standpoint, you get a brand that many people love that costs you nothing. However, other than probably Abe Lincoln (cause he's in so much pop culture) I don't have much interest.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Perhaps we can use them as Voodoo Dolls!
… on other far more important fronts, that Black Hole photo montage is a brilliant way to start a Friday morning.Comment
