Alas, I would've bought that Mego Peacemaker very enthusiastically!

Because I'm not a wrestling guy, I'd only vaguely heard the name John Cena until he played Peacemaker in the first Suicide Squad movie, which I really enjoyed (and particularly enjoyed his character).

I knew Cena from the Tina Fey movie "Sisters" and thought he a knack for comedy, I don't do wrestling at all.

Also, super sorry for not posting the link for the newsletter this week; I'm locked out of the forums on the majority of devises and I seriously need to fix that. I miss you folks.

Another great newsletter. Loved the Pod stallions vid of the toy store walk through and got a kick seeing the Batman/Shazam/Superman form the 30s/40s to 70s books. I have all 3 now, but only ever saw the Shazam book as a kid, which our public library had in the town I moved to for Jr. high. I didn't know the other 2 existed until much later. Those books are such a reassure trove of great super-hero stories.

As a fan of the Micronauts since childhood, I will definitely be a Day 1 buyer of that upcoming Acroyear figure in Hasbro's Marvel Legends line! I almost posted about that separately here a few days ago, actually. When Hasbro made a (awesome) ROM figure for Marvel Legends, which I also bought with equal Day 1 zeal, I was hoping they would do Micronauts.

I also bought the Marvel Legends Crystar figure enthusiastically, despite having bought the #1 issue of the Marvel comic book as a child (was that really 45-ish years ago?) at a convenience store because I loved the cover, only to find the interior story and characters disappointing/confusing/weird/incomprehensible as a kid. I only bought the companion Marvel Legends Warbow figure a few days ago, after I saw it discounted on Amazon.

But I also read that, when the Acroyear figure was announced, a rep for Hasbro said that if Acroyear sold well, they'd do more Micronauts. Of course, that only makes sense. But my heart kind of sank when it was said so explicitly, because I feel like any/all of the past revivals of the property always seem to confirm that the 'buying customer' base for Micronauts is considerably smaller than I wish it were.

Please, please, please: a Baron Karza figure, as well as those of the elusive Micronauts characters that were originally created for the Marvel comic book (especially Bug), so toys couldn't be made of them in the past. But now here's Hasbro, who owns the Micronauts IP now, I believe, along with the Marvel license. If not now, when?

It's Super 7 Reaction+ for me with Micronauts. The scale is more nostalgic, and they have a better track record for going deep and staying with a property. I'm very excited for Legends Crystar, but somehow I feel we aren't getting the rest of the line.

I like those Dc treasury editions, I have the Shazam! volume. I passed on buying the Batman one for reasons members MRP or Earth2Chris can probably deduce.

I've been buying these as well! Totally agree that having an 'in scale' (with vintage) Baron Karza and Force Commander is fantastic. I also really like the Super7 Biotron and Microtron, though, I feel like, compared to how the characters were presented in the vintage Marvel comics, my vintage Mego Biotron is too big and my new Super7 Biotron is a little too small.

I've also bought Super7's recent Emperor figure and am totally pleased with that as well. I am a little concerned about whether the Super7 Micronauts line will continue from here, as I've heard they've had some recent financial challenges and I remember Brian Flynn saying in an interview that Super7 doesn't have the rights to do the Micronauts from the Marvel comics. Personally, I'd be really thrilled if they re-made the Aliens, as I didn't manage to hold onto mine from childhood (despite them being among my favorites).

I didn't know about the Marvel rights--I was hoping for Bug amongst the "Mego" versions.

The aliens were my favorites, too and I want to see them of course.

I love the Dragnet customs, Gannon can be also used for Colonel Potter (M*A*S*H*) also love the DC Treasury editions, remember them as a kid.
