Sad to say I went to Silver Snail in Ottawa yesterday to pick up a Cap, but all seven they had had pretty terrible paint blotches on Cap's head, hands or costume. I couldn't find one that was acceptable, and believe me, I'm not even that picky. No other comic shops in town are carrying this yet and now I'm too afraid to order one blind off the Odeon site. :/
Just received my Capt Canuck figures,My take is that they are excellent, its great that the first Capt Canuck figure is
offically in mego style, i got 2 of these and only one had a little dye on his hand, nice sculpt, outfit is screen
printed ,and if mego had done this figure in 75 or so this is what we would have, had. the mego feel, and i think
its nice they used the earlier Emce body(which this one is all white)rather then the later ones with the screws which
gives it that mego charm.when i get the new Capt America from diamond/Emce,the two north American Captains
can stand side by side to fight crime, very well done to all those involved.
Meet Sam! He lives in Shanghai and is anxiously awaiting his official Captain Canuck retro action figure. In the meantime, his dad Peter has helped him make this awesome Canuck figure! (thanks to Peter for sharing this with us over at the Mego Mania facbook group)
I find it really amusing that the Canucks travelled from China to the USA, across the border into Canada, and now one is making it's way back to China!
Got mine today, in record Canadian Post time! He looks awesome, and getting the deal with an extra Brick on the cheap was just icing on the cake. Thanks guys, amazing work on this figure!
