Now this could be interesting.
By the way , your doco was a fun watch. Do people know of these locations, because there a tourist thing in the area, or something U had tp do research on? Would be cool to rebuild the ape village, Im sure you'd make a mint, getting people dressed up, and just reliving the whole experiance.Comment

It seems that the new films have given Planet of the Apes a new life. I guess we have a couple of weeks before until SDCC. I'm going to be on the edge of my seat everyday until we see what it is!Comment

That was pretty darn cool! I wonder if those campers knew they were camping on a piece cinematic history!
Oh hell yes there is definitely a fan base for the original Apes movies. I made a video on my YouTube channel quite recently. I went to Malibu Creek State Park, where most of the first Apes movie and Beneath the Planets of the Apes was filmed. It was quite an adventure. I went to the 4 main filming locations. Check it out! Yes, I can admit I acted like I 10 year old on Christmas morning in this video, but my mind was blown the entire time!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

He could be referring to the Mego-esque figures NECA's been releasing this year (Freddy, Jason, Ash, etc.). NECA doing Mego-esque Apes would be great, but I'm guessing we'll hear more about future releases in their horror and rock mascot lines."It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."Comment

After rereading it, you guys are right: He never really does specify APES... I'll remain (cautiously) optomistic that he's referring to Mego-styled APES, but I'm not holding my breath...

Since we've already known about NECA doing retro / Mego style figures for a while now it would be odd for him to mention it the way he does if he were not referring to something we have not seen yet. I won't get my hopes too high but I really would love for it to be apes, especially repros of the six Mego originals DST couldn't give us.Comment
