I second Apes7839's call out on the POTA Fortress omission. It's what I would've voted for as it's the one I always wanted most as a kid, but sadly never got. (That sun reflector was just the coolest and any kid who owned the Treehouse would definitely want an Apes' playset with a jail that actually worked.)

I surprised myself by voting for the Hall of Justice...I remember it as the playset that got the most use, though I have much love for the Enterprise, Bat Cave, and Treehouse. The Hall of Justice seemed the most durable of them all and you couldn't beat the map table or the transporter-thing for imagination-spurring adventure. And the exterior artwork was just amazing.

    Great poll question!

I'm kind of surprised the Wayne Foundation is giving the Enterprise Bridge a run for it's money.

I can't help but ask myself, back in the day --- or today, who actually had/has a Wayne Foundation ?

          This is a great poll....

Just a bump -- so it don't get lost before more people vote.

Surprised to see the Forbidden Zone Trap being this popular. No love for the Lost Continent?

I don't think I ever had one. Except for some of the Apes stuff. I will though. I will.

I voted for the Enterprise here, and I voted for the Mad Monster Castle in a similar poll somewhere else.

                    Best Playset

I still have the batcave. I even rebuilt the bat signal with old flashlight parts when it burned out. Just HAD to have the batmobile burst through the door like the commercial! That latch wore out fast. LOL

I voted for the Enterprise but probably would have voted for the POTA Treehouse had it been listed. I didn't own many Mego playsets as a kid and I didn't own any for the WGSH line, which is odd since I had almost all of the figures and a few vehicles.

I always wanted the Wayne Foundation but I never saw one in a store. The only playsets that I did own were the Action Jackson Lost Continent, the POTA Treehouse, the POTA Fortress, and the Trek Enterprise.

Something that has been bugging me since I started visiting the Museum is the AJ Lost Continent. I know I owned one but I could swear that the box was labelled as "Planet of the Apes Lost Continent". And I know mine had the dinosaur stand-ups but it did not have the monkey, the idol, and the monkey's cage. Looking at the gallery page I see that the box says that it can be used for Planet of the Apes but I recall the official POTA logo on the box along with POTA figures. I didn't own POTA Village, which I would have preferred.

Did Mego release the Lost Continent with different packaging or is my memory really going?

I never saw one in a store or catalog other than the Heroes World ads but I did have a childhood friend who owned the Wayne Foundation. I thought that it was great.

I never saw one either. Even my childhood chum, Mike (who had every toy imaginable), didn't have one.

This I did own. Visually impressive. But it was so fragile that the playability just wasn't there for me.
