When I first started collecting any superhero themed item was purchased. I then decided to complete the Secret Wars and Super Powers lines, which is feat upon itself, and took a great deal of time to accomplish. However, after my first mego superhero purchase I was hooked and that is my main focus now. I wish I could have stopped with the superhero line but the Mad Monsters, Planet of the Apes, Star Trek and Wild West were way too cool to pass up and are now mixed in with my superhero collection. My family says I'm obsessed but I see it as a great hobby and it's something I enjoy!

Welcome! If you don't have it I highly recommend the book http://www.worldsgreatesttoys.com/ by Benjamin Holcomb
It is a bit pricy now but still really worth it. Such a great resource for getting to know EVERYTHING there is to know about the wgsh line
Oh yeah, it's 100 post before you can see "toy room central"Comment

Thanks you k2. I couldn't remember the name of that book. I had seen it posted somewhere before over the years.
Everyone is telling me to have fun. I've only been poking around here a couple of days as a member and am having more fun that I have in years collecting toys. And I haven't even bought anything yet. Wait till that happens. Then the fun will really begin.Toys and comics. My house isn't big enough. It's an addiction.Comment

KISStour03
Our stories are very similar as I just joined a few weeks ago. I have very few vintage Mego pieces. All the ones from my childhood are long gone, but I do have my very first Hulk and he is in excellent condition. Hulk is my favorite. I have also begun collecting a few of the KISS lines from FTC. I plan on collecting the 66 Batman line and trying to find some loose vintage superheroes in good condition and some Planet of the Apes. I am waiting on a shipment of figure stands. Once I get them, I will post my collection.Comment
