Got to talk with Mark while visiting with Jason from BBP. Sounded like he just had a lot come together last minute. He wasn't really sure what he was gonna have to display, as he made it sound. Not offering up any excuses, just my take on how it came across. BBP had some interesting stuff going on as well. Got to see the BSG Lucifer figure up close, even better than the pics. Hope that run goes deeper but seeing a lot of clearance sales. Not a good sign.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I like that he worked a deal with Topps and they have nothing at all to do with the movie.

All I know is that Mars Attacks figures done in a Mego-style are simply too cool to resist! So, yeah, it kinda sucks that the Museum didn't get the scoop it was promised, but I consider this figure to be an absolute must have. Unfortunately, it seems like getting ahold of Heroes in Action figures is an adventure in itself. I sure hope Mars Attacks is easier to get my hands on than the Presidential Monsters seem to be.

If I am not mistake Mars Attacks is a Topps property from the trading card series from 1962. The movie has very little to do with licensing rights.

I really hope Mark is bringing the Mars Attacks figures to show off at the Toronto Comic Con in a few weeks.

Maybe I poorly worded my post - from what I remember of a conversation I had with Mark, Mark has a licensing deal with Topps to make figures based on the 1962 trading cards. The figures have nothing to do with the movie, which is a good thing IMO.

I've kind of got a cheesy fondness for the movie. As a young 'un who wasn't around when the trading cards first came out, the movie was how I discovered the original Topps source material and the wonderful art of Norman Saunders.

Agreed. It kills me how the MM was slighted and it also kills me that HIA is producing it. On the brightside, I most likely won't be able to find one anyway so everybody wins.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

When can we expect more Presidential Monsters & Mars Attacks?

Good grief, the wait is "killing" me.

Any news from Heroes in Action at ToyFair '15 about new & old lines?

I'm still interested in Presidential Monsters & Mars Attacks.

I'd love to see regular Presidents someday.

Last time I saw anything on the Mars Attacks figures, there was talk of doing them in 8 and 7 inch scale. I also remember pics of a moving jaw/mouth.
As I look close at these photos, the gluing looks rough, and the helmet is far from clear.
