Oh! I was laughing and smiling through that whole segment! Did you really tell him it was double (or was it triple?) because he was so excited?!? But seriously, you did a great job. I don't know how much of it was acting but you came off well.
Someone should suggest to DMC that he can get fresh reMegos of Action Jackson and Batman from Castaway and FTC for his kids. Imagine each kid at his camp getting and new on card figure? Would that be cool?Comment

Just got back from watching the show at my local pizza joint (hear that Mr. Nielson Ratings!). Never saw the show before. Love that Vinny got some serious exposure.
Interesting to watch the Daryl of DMC episode back to back with Gene Simmons episode. I liked how D came across as a legit vintage toy fan, Gene I'm not so sure but ya gotta do what ya gotta do if tv execs say put him on, ha! Gene reminded me of that shark jumping episode when American Pickers had William Shatner on-aaahh! But I digress...Vinny, you were blessed to be on a season premiere episode and to have Jordan (never met) describe you as such a collector and customizer stud. Way to go! There was a lot of great DVR moments...I know Mr. Hembrough is not the director, producer or editor and therefore does not see final cut but damn! they speed framed past some good **** in Vinny's museum quality display area to get to the discoveries in the back. Ouch! That was like sending a film crew all day into the Louvre and all they filmed was the Gift Shop, ha! (harmless joke)
Jordan (hard to call him by first name without meeting) definitely showed the mego love and since I had never seen these shows before I was impressed with the mego shots both upfront featured and the throwaway shots and background easter eggs throughout. Nice!
Seriously, Vinny, you came across as a major player as opposed to the other fellow who was relegated to Really Nice Dad who has some cool stuff to flip and thats it. For the record, i am a really nice dad, too, no disrespecting that fellow.
Good show!INEPT VINTAGE WISENHEIMER

Let me start by saying i've seen every episode multiple times and it was really cool seeing somebody from the Museum "represent." I sincerely don't wanna offend anyone but if "D" was on every episode i'd never watch again. Something just wasn't right. I probably should keep my mouth shut but being a huge fan of the show i just had to say something. Now i do love when Gene Simmions says to Jordan "nice ***" now that's rock'n'roll. I guess i'd rather see more time spent with guys like Vinny than celebrities. I know 30mins isn't long.Comment

THat was an awesome episode. I taped it....watched it...watched it again.....picked out some sweet toys on pause ...showed my wife....who smiled and looked at me like i was a loon....I then saved it to watch it again later. Sweet collection Vinn!!! I wanted to see more mego...freeze frame is great for that. Loved the RMR. Keep the Mego goodeness coming Jordan!!!!Comment

maybe 1/4 of that was shot in my storage room.
The star wars side made it in a couple of flash scenes.
I was shocked there was not one story or even a flash through of the mego room, With the art work, statues and figures it really is awesome.
But there is just so much time that they have and only so much stuff they can show. I guess they will have to come back and do another episode

Mike - you are 100% correct
I'am blessed to have a great Family and great collection - and was lucky enough to be on the show.
I said it before - that whole crew has to work long hours to get those 5-10 min spots. I think there was 7-8 hours worth of filming alone plus everything else they have to do.
So I knew most of it would be cut out. I just wish there was at least a flash through of the other room. That is the mego goodness. But I'm very happy the way the show turned out and I hope it helps get more mego episodes! (and star wars as well )
But honestly those reactions are real. You can see how nervous I was when it came to dealing.
And they cut it down a little but D went even more nuts over the AJ stuff. I could not even keep a straight face - he really went nuts, he loved them. Thats why I told him to pay double hahah
Over all it was a great show and thats what matters. Keep in mind the show is not about me - its about the toys
and in this case it was really about the charity.
I'm looking forward to the rest of the season!"Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?"Comment

Its a 30 min show and a lot to get in. We filmed for a few hours on my collection side.

Some of the scenes that did not make it in - D had explained to me why he wanted these toys (for the kids) and that they would be played with.
So D was ok with some reproduction parts being on the figures.
I was ok with the prices I got. Believe it or not that is what I paid for them, so I did not lose money and more important it was for kids and charity - So I was 100% cool with it.
Anyone who has kids, or gives back to kids (toys for tots, make a wish foundation etc) knows what I'm talking about. It is a great thing he does with his charity.
Also just want to thank everyone here at the MM for the support and help promoting the show!Last edited by Vinny0026; Jan 30, '14, 7:47 AM."Where Does He Get Those Wonderful Toys?"Comment

I enjoyed the segment a lot and would have preferred seeing much more of that footage. The Mego POTA horse was a cool find but it was much cooler seeing a MM member getting some time in the national spot... I rave more about it at the Toy Box for the rest of the world to hopefully think a little deeper about how the episode was on so many different levels. I really appreciated that I got to learn about DMC's Camp Felix. If not for you Vinny being on the show, I probably would have missed it. Attaboy Vinny!
