    Vintage Collection Photos

I scrounged around today looking for something and came across these shots. I may have shared some of them before but during my teenage years, I was trying to write a Mego book. My photography skills were primitive but I do enjoy this little time capsule of my life. Most of these were taken from 1987-89. Sold this collection in 1991 to pay for a car accident I was in.

The top one was actually supposed to be the cover of my proposed book, that was taken in my apartment in 1995 and shows everything I owned at the time. The assist on that one came from my pal Sean, who still makes mego figures with me.

The comic action shot was done in '89. I rigged up this little photo set up in my basement.

This was done to show packaging variations. I doubt I paid more than $50 for any of these. The Shazam cost me $15.

The Top one is my collection on display in my first basement apartment.

That spacey backdrop for the star trek aliens is the bathroom at my parent's old house.

I collected Captain Action when I was 16, I got some tough pieces. I want to add that you should never try to sleep with a girl in a room with Star Wars wall paper, it ain't gonna happen.

I love how I used MIB Pack figures to prop up that Bat console.

Dracula was hard to come by in 1989, I'd been searching for four years!

I have more, I'll scan them later on.

Great collection I've sold off most of my collection as well but I still have the memories.

I love the shot of the Bat Command Console. It looks like as amateur modeling shot with the model casually relaxing by the pool (is that a pool in the background?). Could use a few more with the Bat Console sipping an umbrella'ed drink in lounge chair, maybe on the hood of a medium-priced sports car... you get the idea.

            These didn't belong to me.

I'm really glad I never tried to publish this opus.

I was really proud to own a Monster castle, even if it was incomplete.

            Another backyard shot.

I kinda want some of this stuff back....

Great pics, I wish I had some like that. But like you, if I did have such pics, I'd also likely find my self wishing I had some of the stuff back.

MONSTER CASTLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn fine collection for a late 80s, early 90s collector. Back in the pre-Ebay days it was fun but at times hellish to run toys down.

They're looks awesome, thanks for sharing! I lost my early 2000's pics of Megos and Customs in the photobucket.com, Image Shack and other sites.... My brother removed my old hard drive, I have tons of old pics still inside of the hard drive, he said he'll making copies when he have time...

I love the special effect cotton in your Shazam picture. I also like those granite bookends.

Heh, thanks for noticing. Those "Granite" bookends were actually packing material thrown in a box, my 18 year old mind thought they added class to ever photo. Made it look like the set from "Legends of the Superheroes" I guess.
