Hey guys-
Thanks again for the comments. I truly appreciate them.
Yes, I am a bit more reserved this season, not smiling as much. My main concern is that they truly play the show as REAL. I want everyone to truly see and know what I am going through ( and other dealers as well) when we purchase/sell toys. I can tell you all on thing honestly.. for the record.. this is truly my own money. The Network does not pay for the toys, the production company does not pay for the toys... I do.
So, when you see my grimace, or perhaps not be so "overwhelmed with joy" it because I most likely have a Million other things going on in my head ( how can I sell this, will I sell this. how much). I want to keep it real.
Mark is a great part time addition. No plans to have him join the show, but he is in "my world". Naturally, he would pop up from time to time.. as others have.
As the show progresses, I am trying to really showcase all aspects of the industry. However, as expected.. the Network and Ex-Producers do have final say... so we need to show transactions of money, big dollars, etc.
I truly appreciate all the support you guys give us, and most importantly.. constructive comments. Some boards bash the show, and the host.I need to know what is working, and not working... and why.
Catch an all new episode tonight.. "Playing with Fire". It was truly one of the most heartbreaking collections I have seen... but we did get the guy some money... and he was happy.
Thanks again! You guys rock!

Hey Jordan. I have a question. The negotiations over price for some of the items you purchase seem to go exceptionally quick. Now I'm confident that for show purposes, alot of editing has to be done so the essence of the deal is shown so the narrative can move forward. But in your experience, are the majority of collectors you visit for the show in a selling mood when you make them an offer or is there more haggling going on and that has to be sorted out before you guys film that exchange? Also, do you ever send someone out to these homes ahead of time to see if they have the items you're looking for so the investment of the trip is not wasted? I really enjoy the show. I'm just trying to sort out how the costs are controlled to ensure your trips are not in vain. Thanks in advance for answering my questions!Comment

Surprised that so far carded Megos have only had cameos considering their value and scarcity in certain cases. Spotted the carded Conan at the mile high stop on tonight's episode.Comment

I think there has been a good amount on show. They had bunch of Star Trek, Love Boat, CHIPS, some super heroes. I think its prob just hard to find in peoples collections, and producers prob want to spread toy love around.
Show in CO tonight, state is dried up. Good thing he hit that toy show in Springs.Comment

When a company does a toy substitution like that GI Joe, the documentation becomes highly valuable. When Fellowship of the Ring came out, Burger King/Toy Biz did an INCREDIBLY limited mail in figure of an Uruk Hai.
What isn't as well known, is that when supply didn't meet demand they did a substitution figure. It was just a regular Lurtz figure, but the box, and substitution letter are incredibly valuable.
Another interesting one is the Hellboy 2 Wink. They changed the CGI model during production, but the toy was already in production, so they offered the revised head if you mailed in the POP from the package.
I have both Lurtz, and the revised Wink head with the boxes and letters.
The most famous substitution letter in our hobby, though, has got to be Rocket Fett.Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figuresComment

We really enjoyed last nights episode. Felt really bad for Shane and his fire. It looked like some of the packaging saved some of the toys from being destroyed and still have some loose/minty value. I would have bought more from him.Last edited by mightyquinn; Jun 6, '13, 6:22 PM.Comment

I would love the see Jordon track down some really hard to find Megos. The Yellow Shorts Robin, Lily Lady DC figures, Screen Print Supergirl, a Wayne Foundation prototype (I really want to see the artwork for the expanded walls), Wonder Woman playsets.Visit my wiki site:

Here he is. I love this place I have spent hours in here looking through $1 comics, some really great deals. I wish they would bring some of those toys out of the back. Mostly 90's to newer stuff on the shelves for toys. Not much for 70's/80's. Only 2-3 Megos. Loose Spock and Penguin if I remember, couple of Joes.
