Jordan, Sorry to hear one of your hosts was unhappy. It happens. Unfortunatly, we have a lot of expectation without communication in our culture. The fact that you had to hear it here, suggests that you were not going to win that one.

Love Toy Hunters. Reality shows are hit and miss with me. One thing that I avoid is Jerry Springer style reality shows like 'Springer-repo', 'Springer-pawn' and 'Springer-storage'. Way too much drama and not nearly enough educational fun. Your show is so much fun to watch.

Be sure and include what area of the country you live in. The bigger shows like American Pickers advertise in the areas they're scheduled to visit, and if you're lucky enough to get an interested response from producers, scouts will visit your location to evaluate possible use for the show.

I wanted to offer an alternate perspective. I recently spoke with someone who was showcased on this program and they said everyone involved was great. And he would certainly have them back if the request was made. So I think alot of it comes from a basic understanding and expectation of the business. I asked alot of questions and the feedback I got suggested both he and the show were on the same page. This person is very familiar with the secondary market and quite knowledgeable about current market values. And he said no offer was out of bounds in terms of fairness or what he would personally expect to get on the open market (whether the buyer was in it for profit or not).

So I took alot of positives away from that discussion and I'm glad I asked the questions I did. I think sometimes people get too caught up in the idea of what an item MIGHT sell for versus what it will LIKELY sell for. Often two different worlds entirely. And plus you have to look at the opportunity involved in getting a sale as well. Sometimes items that have perceived market value sit and never find those buyers. So if you can get a buyer who will give you a low to mid-level offer, then that's cash in your pocket that you would otherwise never see from that item. So sometimes you have to know when to let go. It was a good conversation. And I walked away wiser from that conversation.

Can't wait for the new season, I really enjoy the show, there was a season one marathon on a few days ago and I sat here and watched it all instead of getting outside and getting some work done or going toy hunting.

Wow,..this is great news Jordan! I just love the show!!!!!!,,...Each time a figure comes up or is found,..i quickly go get the one i have boxed as well,...,AWESOME SHOW!!!! Any chance of searching over seas? I met a guy at a flea market here in PR that was selling action figures for 5.00 and 10.00: Bionic Womans, Fembots, Mego 12" Spidermans, 12" Hulks, 12" Supermans, Talking Bettlejuices and more....so who knows what else you could find here.....like a couple of years ago, when i passed by this old antique store, and was shocked when i couldnt believe what i saw ...(to be continued....)
