    Mego Lou Ferrigno Hulk Prototype

Many of you who supported Megozine, have been rewarded with an exclusive glimpse of the Lou Ferrigno Hulk Prototype that Mego never put into production.

For those that have seen it, what do you think? Would you have purchased/preferred the Lou version over the regular comic book version that was released?

I like the 12" Mego Hulk sculpt, but oddly enough, it's less "savage" than its 8" brother. I think the Lou sculpt was really nice, especially for the time. It's definitely him, much moreso than the Reeve Superman, etc. I would have probably been more interested in it, since the TV series was my main exposure to the Hulk at the time.

We were only granted permission by the piece's owner for the magazine, we are not permitted to publish it on the web, that was very clear and we respect that.

I am ok with that because we spent a lot of time and money producing a magazine that we'll likely never see back, so it stands as an exclusive to that piece and an additional thank you to those of you that supported it.

I would agree. It was a good sculpt for its time. Not perfectly accurate, but better than most.

Although the Lou Ferrigno prototype is one cool figure,I personally like the comic book Hulk figure,I was a fan of the tv series also but thats how I rememberd Hulk from the way he was in the comics.

Will there be a Megozine #2?The 1st one was a great read and visual fest.

It's hard to say that the sculpt in the magazine is what we would have seen in a mass produced head. I've seen a few sculpts and even test runs that looked pretty accurate, only to see the mass produced version loos detail.

That said, I always liked my figures to look more like the comic book when I was a kid. I actually liked the 8" Hulk head.

We'd like there to be, sales just have to warrant it. It's still young and things are far from dismal, so I'd give it a good shot.

First of all, love the Megozine! Second, I preference the comic head even though I loved the show as a kid. I had an 8" hulk as a kid too and he got played with till he broke.

I can see why Mego did not go with using the Farrigno sculpt as I think it was too specific to the actor. Genetic Hulk face could translate to both comic and TV fan sales. That said I would have probably been into it as a kid back then but not so much now.
                            It's all good!

It's a great likeness, but I was always more into comic book Hulk rather than TV Hulk, so I'd prefer the existing 12" Hulk head, I really like that sculpt (more than the 8" Hulk too).
