I'm bringing my customs, parts and pieces. Not looking to make money, so much as to have everything I'll need to share and have a good time. This party should be quality over quanity. I like the idea that this first "Mego-Eat" is RSVP.

Better to have 10 guests who really want to meet each other, than 50 who just came to make money off a free event table.

I keep hoping that once we PNW Mego-ers get the chance to meet each other in person, we will have a better chance to understand the personalities behind the user IDs, and posts here.

I would feel bad if people came a ways hoping to sell and make big bucks like this is a big toy show or something, which it is not (though vintage mego stuff will be there for sale). If you haven't already, Blackknight, and others, post a link to your stuff available for sale and welcome people to pm you about buying stuff in advance. But you probably got that covered I'm sure.
      I didn't really Expect to ....
I've never been to something like this Before ...

I guess as the host, I don't want ANYONE to be disappointed, either as a buyer or seller or trader or as a mego fan in general who wants to socialize with like kin.

      I don't think anyone Would ....

Right now we're looking at core group of 14 or so most likely (this includes wives, family and buddies) with another 5-10 as maybes who have not officially confirmed but express interest. This is why I wanted it same weekend as comiccon pdx. I'm hedging my bets...
Just trying to get a feel for the Event ..., and this sorta gives me the Feel for it ..
I've never been to MegoMeet Before ..., and the Last Trades show I attented was so very long ago ...

You know 50 People that actually Make Money at this scale ?
My Question was so much more than that ...., sorry I didn't really Expect a Comment as such to spawn an Answer that seemed somewhat Hostle to some degree. I don't think anyone that Customizes this Scale, and even has Stuff for Sale is Here just for the Money , All the Money's in the Other Scales Bro.
So are you just saving all your Sales Items for Ebay and Here then ?

I like the idea of custom items (for sale or just show) at the event. I would think folks might be more up for buying something in person on the spot. But as MikeMC4 said, it is difficult to tell what folks are gonna want to do.

Being new to the hobby, my own collection is sparse at present, so I am hoping to maybe pick up something here or there as it catches my eye. But my collecting is on a budget too, so I gotta be pretty selective. I can't speak for others though.

I will say, I was really impressed with BlackKnight's work with my recent order. It would be great in person, to see more examples of his work as well as dr cyclops or anyone else with custom sculpts.
          Looking for:

--Lion Rock "Mr Rock's" shoes/ boots (these may also be the same as the lion rock monster line boots)

          --Mystery Astronaught

I'm planning to bring some stuff to show. I was hoping to maybe pick up some heads or parts, but probably not buy any full customs. However, I would love to see some others customs in person!

I can also bring the Django Unchained Broomhilda figure if anybody want to spend $2k for it! (Kidding!)

So, my goal is to try and save as much cash for the mego-eat as possible with an eye to possibly buy items that strikes my fancy. I only own one cool customs so it would be neat to see customs in person by those who make them. We all should update our want lists because I'm excited about the trading aspect too!

Question, I have some leads on vintage action figure parts that are not mego. Should I bring them? Do customizers care if parts are mego or non-mego as long as its vintage?

Mike, if they are 1/9 scale I know for me I don't mind for non-mego.

I plan on bring mego and some non-mego scale items I have no use for and also bringing extra bodies, T-0, T-1 and T-2. Plus other ones non-mego ones if anyone is interested.

I don't even care if it's "vintage". When it comes to customizing, the sky is the limit.
