Ok, so in the Mego Meet section is a new member inquiring about whether Pacific Northwesterners gather to talk, swap, maybe sell Megos.
People have gathered in small groups in PDX and Seattle before. On Feb. 22-24 there is the inaugural Wizard Comic Con in PDX. I could possibly host a gathering at a higher end mom and pop pizza place in downtown Vancouver, WA which is less than ten miles from downtown portland and the comic con. We can have the whole restaurant to ourselves (seats 45) until 4:00 pm on that Sunday and the owners would let me run the oven and make pizzas, sell beer and such as i wish (it is excellent food).
I could bring my collection for show (and some trade) and I have some very good leads on local buddies with drool worthy collections who may wish to sell/trade also. People can bring their customs. On the big TV I can loop Mego commercials. We can play dolls. Local biker gangs can stop by and kick our asses, whatever. Anyway, I'm curious to see if ANYONE within this realm of North America would be interested in possibly attending. One problem I have, like this new guy, is the fact that I don't personally know a ton of mm members. But I look on these message boards and see some quite interesting members who seem to live in my backyard.
I chose the date only because of snaring as many possible mego fans as possible that may attend Con, but that is negotiable.
